The room was musty on arrival like a basement. Room needs to be aired out if not frequently used.

Although the bed was comfortable. I just wish it was a bit bigger.

Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Coffee was good. Laura was awesome. She accommodated us with late check in. Had a good night's sleep and was ready to finish the next leg of our trip. Met Laura in the morning. She is just a very pleasant person. Great little mom and pop place. We will be back when we are traveling near here again.

There is nothing at all I didn't like about this place.

The little river in the motel is off the highway, quiet, nice. Grocery store right next door. Laura is wonderful. She has snacks, coffee, tea and a little oven to bake pizzas or toast your sandwiches. The rooms are so clean. The rooms come with toiletries , nice size towels, a thermostat, a microwave,and a fridge with a small freezer. The beds are so comfy. Plenty of light and shelves on each side of the bed for stuff or your phone, plenty of outlets and they don't use plastic keys they have actual keys. Great place to stay. I have reached out to my family and friends telling them about this wonderful little tucked in hide away.

Very. Friendly and informative reception .room and motel older style drive up to room good parking comfortable rooms and bed. Very quiet . Motels as they used to be . Reception area open for drinks and snacks. Such a nice alternative to chain hotels etc

This is the absolute best customer service I’ve ever gotten at a hotel and I travel quite a bit. I messaged to ask about a late night check in and the owner called me to explain the process and set everything up for me! Everything was exactly as explained when I arrived. I was only there for a few hours but the room had everything I needed.

Everything was great. If starting near Leon stay here, better then the more expensive places a great place.

Such a sweet lady that runs the place, off the major highway. Enjoyed the stay. Comfortable, peaceful, called me the next morning to let me know I forgot my pillow offered to mail to me.

This is a very quaint motel of another era. It reminded me of Shitt’s Creek. I walked into the office looking for Stevie. Didn’t find her but the woman who checked me in was very nice. When I was at dinner I called her and asked her to tell the guys with the big truck and fishing boat to move it from in front of my room door. Was done by the time I got back. The motel is in a pretty setting.

Breakfast had little of interest.

Quiet spot in the small town of Leon IA. Very friendly manager and the atmosphere of the place was calm and nice overall. It's an older traditional motel that remains in good condition. Quality better than the price would suggest; other travelers rated it well and I understand why after staying there.

It was nice having a cozy home to ourselves. Located close to a family reunion in Lamoni. Very convenient and well equipped little house. We’ll definitely keep it mind for next year.

There were small insects in the room—tiny moths and other tiny flyers. The up side is that I put away my phone and went to sleep because they were attracted to the light!!😉

Loved the convenience to the car for a late night arrival and early morning departure. Most furnishings and fixtures were quite old, but clean. Staff was kind and helpful.

The free breakfast was a bowl of crackers. Coffee wasn't made,no ice available (just a bag of ice for $4) water was available for purchase. The bathroom was small, dirty and the shower floor was severely sloped which caused us to slip and almost fall. (My ankle was sore for days). We couldn't set the temperature of the room (the thermostat was locked up) The shower head had very poor pressure.

It was a bed to sleep in.
