Uncomfortable mattresses/beds. Difficult to figure out TV and other appliances (microwave and stove top). Door entry battery died.

It was not an issue for us personally but I would not recommend this property to anyone who is handicapped i.e. wheelchair, walker, cane etc. the stairs to the rooms are very steep! But this was my only qualm!

Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! This hotel was outstanding we walked to get breakfast and coffee every morning! It’s in a very clean safe neighborhood! We would stay here again 100% Our room offered everything! A kitchen, coffee maker, hair dryer, refrigerator it had it all! We even had a pretty view of the bridge! I just loved it.

Man, the thin white curtains made the light in the room so beautiful in the morning, however it was SO bright and wish we could have slept in a little!

The stairs are STEEP.

Loved the location, it was out of the town and near to the historic sights. The street the hotel is located on has lots of lovely independent shops and nice coffee places. Really couldn't have asked for a better location.

We LOVE this concept! The room was really cool (redone old building in Old Town Philadelphia). We were able to walk to all the nearby tourist sights. We love the neighborhood (I spent more on shopping than on the room). The room is clean and has a TON of amenities (we like the liquor cart - even though we didn't use it). Although the room is AirBnb-ish, the ability to order food and groceries through the iPad was cool. We highly recommend this stay to anyone coming to Philadelphia not wanting a chain and wanting to be in the local neighborhoods.

The space is beautifully designed and you can tell a lot of thought was put into making it intuitive and comfortable for guests. We loved the location and wish we'd had more time (and better weather) to explore the area nearby.

A small ask would be for some sort of mirror in the bedroom. The only mirrors were in the bathroom.

The room is gorgeous and had everything we needed. The little touches, like he old books, delicious tea and fabulous tea kettle made it even more special. It was also the perfect location for walking to all of the sights in Philadelphia. We walked....and walked.....and walked.

There were some very minor repairs needed and the bigger bluetooth speaker wasn't connecting (and there are no bedside lamps) - minor things - but just to be aware.

This is the 3rd time i've stayed here - love Lokal and the staff are SUPER helpful and responsive. The 4th floor walk up is not for everyone, but the space is absolutely beautiful (Ben) and worth the walk - very tranquil at the backside of the building.

Most of the locals; instead of polite smiles or acknowledging gestures to visitors that are there to admire and experience, they look like you are impeding on their turf and disregard common politeness.

The room was excellent with a self check in and process that was very comfortable. Information regarding the Lokal facility and the area was easily obtained and support was given instantly at request. Top Notch

We stayed in the top floor Louisa room and the walk up was a bit daunting, but we had been warned in advance- and it was well worth the climb!

The Betsy suite was a very large space, which felt like our own apartment in the city. My son loved the bunk bed room with the blocks and the bathtub. The kitchen was well-appointed with excellent coffee.

we had a lot of luggage, so climbing the steep stairs wasn’t ideal, however if traveling with just a couple of suitcases and personal effects it won’t be an issue for most.

I couldn't connect to bluetooth speaker, would be great to have a light next to the bed and on dimmers. the description on the booking site does not mention no elevator. would be great to have a bike rack - such a great way to get around the city, but walking a bike up four stories is a lot!
