Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

2 burned out lights. Some general maintenance needs. The facility is a little tired and in need of updating, but clean. The balcony needed cleaning up from tree debris.
Owners seem positive, eager to please, trying to succeed.

I couldn't find any restaurant or tourist info in my room. Phone numbers, menus, local pizza joints that deliver?

A hot tub would have been nice to have

Very disappointed that Continental Breakfast was promised, but Office Door was locked in the morning with a sign & phone # to call facing window. At Check- in; I needed to call that phone for Service and once in Office I saw little brown sack Bags of snacks; which I assume was a muffin, pc. of fruit & water. I would have taken them at Check-in had I known the Office would again be locked in the AM! Hotel Pool area and Room had a bad smell. Our window AC was extremely noisy and didn't produce much air circulation or cool air. Kept my Girlfriend awake at night.
Location was very nice. On the outskirts of town; but still very close!

There was no breakfast or even ICE available before 8 AM. We travel with large drink cups with ice and water and we like to leave by 7 AM or so. I understand this property is under renovation on the outside, but it was quite run down and shabby looking, and not really what I had expected for the price. Thankfully the inside was much better.
The room was nice, and the bed very comfy. The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. I asked her for directions to a specific location and she cheerfully printed a map with step by step instructions. I did not get her name, but she had beautiful red hair. She deserves whatever she is being paid and probably a raise!

The parking lot.Needs attention. Is on their list to fix.
This is a recently locally purchased small town motel.Work in progress.The outside and halls need attention.But were clean.They are working on.My room had an adjustable bed,L shaped couch,new flooring.Very clean.Desk clerk amazing.Support local small town business.

Property appears to be an older hotel now under local management. exterior of building needs some maintenance as does the grounds. our room appeared to have been recently refreshed.
The room was clean and comfortable. Room had flat screen tv, microwave and refrigerator. Bedding and towels appeared relatively new.

Other loud guests, didn't feel safe, and run down facility. Most of the in room lights didn't work and the faucet would not shut off completely. Did not feel as though pictures on the website gave an accurate depiction of the property.

That we couldn’t stay longer and use the backyard as there were hammocks, fireplaces, grills, and maybe more.
Went to Hayward with to go see Larry the Cable Guy at Sevenwinds Casino (wasn’t even a 10 min drive) when we arrived the owner checked us in and he was extremely nice and friendly. The biggest bonus was I was able to bring my dog for an extra small fee!
