Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe did not get to check in until almost 6pm. There was a large group of people that had been staying there a while and it took longer than normal to clean up after them.

United StatesThe valet parking is $55 (can come and go as you please), which is a lot in comparison to some other chains. There is a self parking garage nearby that is cheaper, but my understanding is that you can't come and go from that within the overnight price of $35. It has a low height clearance (6' 6"), which impacted me because I had a cargo bag on my SUV's roof. There is some metered street parking in area and a few other options, but I didn't want my car too far away. I got it worked out in the end due to a lucky spot, but just things to consider. Overall, would pick this place again in a heartbeat (just minus my cargo bag)
It really has a beautiful interior - grand classical luxury with chandeliers etc. The staff was really nice. Loved that it was pet friendly with no fee! Dogs are very welcomed here, they have a water bowl out at check in desk and give tennis balls out when checking in, which was so awesome and such a funny (in a nice way) touch that I have never seen anywhere else. The owner and/or manager must love dogs, because in the lobby there were featured pictures of local adoptable dogs from a rescue - as someone who has been involved with animal shelters/rescues for many years, it warmed my heart. The lobby also has a really nice area with a pool table and other games. I didn't do the restaurant, but it looked nice and upscale from afar. This place is set apart from the other options like Hampton etc due to its historical landmark status. They also gave out milk and cookies at 8pm and the cookies were a tie-in to St Louis culinary tradition so that was a special touch (and they were really really delicious). I also appreciated that they had a back storage area where they could hold my bike (the elevators are a bit smaller than some other chains and I didn't want to leave it on car). The Arch is about a 15 minute walk from this hotel. Downtown St Louis seemed a bit sketch in some spots, but you could tell the city was doing what it could to make it as friendly to tourists as possible (I saw Safety ambassadors walking around, cameras on corners, etc).

I like the location but did not care for room and bathroom shower and sink had issues.

United StatesCould have been cleaner
It appeared as if the bathroom floor had not been properly cleaned in weeks...Hair from many different types of people was in the corner behind the bathroom door and had not been removed. The bath gel in the shower was empty as well. We also found a pair of socks that did not belong to us next to the minifridge. The staff was great and the hotel had a wonderful vibe.

United StatesThe woman who checked me in and out seemed annoyed- perhaps because I booked with Booking, Com instead of directly with them? The fitness center had a TV blaring and music overhead blaring. I asked for them to turn one of them off but they did not.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful- stunning architecture and so well maintained. The room was quaint. The linens were high quality. The bed very comfortable. I felt at ease and at home immediately.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The building is beautiful. The hotel bar was very nice and accommodated our large group. Valet parking was fast and efficient.

United StatesThe rooms were very outdated. Bathroom sink was tiny and ours wasn’t that clean. You don’t get the luxury feel for the price you pay. The bathrobes were stiff and not fluffy. The cookies they love to advertise were only available one of three nights we were there for.
The location was great! Everything we wanted to see and do was within a 20 minute walk.

United StatesThey are pet friendly, meaning your pet can stay there but there are no restaurants in hotel where pet can eat. We ended up walking several blocks to find a place where we could eat outdoors with our dog. They werent helpful in giving us that info either. Had to look it up. Hotel itself great but they need an outdoor area with restaurant so you can stay there and eat with your pet. And valet parking needs to be a lot cheaper.
It was beautiful hotel. Parking cost was way too high. They should give guests a discount.

United StatesTexted for the car in the am and received a text back about 15 minutes later saying no valet was available. Went to check out (on a timeframe for airport), and the clerk went into the game room to wake up the valet who then went to get our car. Showers are too small, elevators very small and need work. Only two of the three were operable.
Great location, close to ball field.

United StatesWe had booked a total of 3 rooms. One room the tv did not work and the other room the toilet didn't flush well. Also, we paid $48 each for Valet parking for 3 cars. We checked out at 10:30 am on Sunday, scanned our valet slip and it took almost an hour for us to get our vehicles from the valet. That is not good customer service and we could have paid to park elsewhere for cheaper if this was going to be the case. Also, the front desk clerk on duty, which I did not get her name, was not very personable either. We probably will never stay at this establishment again.

Saudi ArabiaHotel is itself very old and they can't do much about it. The vintage look, old carpets, smell etc are bit a drag otherwise it was a nice hotel. Telephone at my room didn't work on the very first day. I tried to call reception but failed. I reported T reception and one technician came to replace the phone. But no use. Same was the situation till the day I checked out. If I needed anything from reception I had to go all the way to the lobby level to meet them which was something we don't expect in a 4Star hotel.
Stay at Magnolia was pleasant. Staff were good. Food was also nice. Bar tenders/ waiters were courteous. Even though i stayed at 17th floor maneuvering between lobby to room was a breeze due to the fast lift. Toiletries were good. Room was kept tidy every time all the time.
