Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shrubbery outside could use a little trim but other than that, it was very neat and clean.
Very clean facilities. When we checked in you could see a housekeeper folding clean laundry in the laundry room. When we walked in the room, it smelled like clean bed linens. The furniture was not new but was in really good shape, especially compared to other hotels, even nicer hotels. When we left or came back through the day, we caught glimpses of housekeepers cleaning the rooms and they were scrubbing those showers!

Breakfast was pretty basic with no waffles or other hot items. In fact, the hottest thing going was a bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats. Still, it was an excellent stay overall.
This motel is an “oasis in the desert”. Coming from the western U.P. it is the first sign of life after driving through 100 miles of non-existent “towns”. We found it to be clean, safe, and comfortable.

I wish it had an elevator but like I said they worked with us about not being able to use stairs.
The location is wonderful. I’m disabled and they don’t have an elevator so I had to stay on the first floor and they were very accommodating when we arrived there (late at night) and could not be on the second floor like we were booked bc of my service dog (dogs stay on the second floor) but they quickly corrected the situation and got us a room on the first floor towards the exit to make our stay easier. The room and place in general is very clean as well.

Nothing fancy here, but clean and super friendly staff. Another thing that made our stay fantastic. We actually booked a day sooner than we thought we had. We were on a bicycle riding trip around Wisconsin and headed for the UP on our way home to lower Michigan. We thought we had booked Jul 11 - 12. In error we booked 10-11th. The morning of the 11th, the property manager called us to see if all was well, as we hadn’t checked in the prior night. We were on our way that afternoon expecting to stay 11-12th. Our bad. The manager was able to change our reservation and accommodate us without issue. Highly recommend this hotel!

There wasn't much of a selection for breakfast. Bread, pop tart, yogurt or cereal. The bed was firm.

Staff wasn’t prompt to help when I had issues with my AC at first. They did end up switching my room which is nice but I just felt one staff member was a bit short with me. Breakfast options aren’t great, mostly carb heavy foods. So don’t expect a hot nice hotel breakfast.
Good location and decent price. House keeping was really great and made it very clean and refilled soaps and towels for me.

For me the mattress was a little hard and our room was by one of the side exits so people stood outside our window and smoked and talked.

I really do appreciate the free breakfast. Everything was neat and presentable and edible. I would prefer some sort of protein other than yogurt. Maybe like hard boiled eggs or some more fresh fruit options.
I like that it was convenient to town, food, grocery shopping, restaurants, gas stations The pool was very nice. It was very clean. The sauna needs to be fixed. It wouldn’t go higher than level one which wasn’t much warmer than a 60° day outside.
