United States of Americamy family and I were accused of smoking in the room and children running through the hallways as we were checking out we overheard a housekeeper talking about us. After leaving the manager calls and said she knows it was not us and she has had refugees staying there and the children are “terrorists” and tearing up her hotel. Which was very unprofessional, she then says she is going to REFUND my money. I check my account and she has only refunded 20 dollars. I call her and asks about this & she simply lies on the phone and says she can’t refund she can only give a discount. With the amount of disrespect we dealt with a refund should have been no problem, not to mention SHE is the one that called me & said she was going to REFUND me for my stay. Please do not stay here. The hotel is run down and not even worth the money. horrible mistake and my family & I will never return to Roanoke.

United States of AmericaThe AC made the room smell like wet moldy towels. There were hairs found in the sink and shower before we used them. Half the outlets didn't work. The TV didn't have a working HDMI port (couldn't change inputs) so we could only watch the channels on there TV though we had brought our Fire stick. The curtains weren't completely light blocking because they didn't go all the way to the floor. The info booking the hotel said there was free breakfast but when we went to try and get breakfast, there was a bunch of equipment to make breakfast but no food or supplies to make it. When we had first arrived, the room they originally gave us had a staff member in it and said it wasn't even cleaned yet. So they had to change our room. The elevators were also unusually slow.
It was a good location right off the highway. The bed was big enough. The AC worked. When there was a hiccup with our room they were quick to accommodate and get a different room for us.

The check-in clerk was hanging out in the lobby with friends, didn't even know she worked at the hotel. The check-out did nothing to assist us with getting more towels when we asked. The customer service is now poor and has gone down since we last visited.

United States of AmericaThe kitchen was not stocked, 2 folks, 1 spoon, a few plates. The stove was dirty. Didn't look like the room was cleaned for the next guests. No towels in the room. Unresponsive staff. When I called the reception the person on the phone said they were "sold out" of towels(?). On further pushing, said that ALL the towels in the hotel were in the laundry. Had to call repeatedly to get towels to my room. Then finally, caught hold of the housecleaning staff on my floor who was very helpful.
