Loved the renovations to visitor center and the Lodging office bldg. Which have the outdoors theme, etc. We switched our rustic (cute, clean!) Cabin to a lodge room across the way, as desired wifi, tv, as just left other park without, too. The lodge room was comfy and clean, enjoyed front porch and breezeway, walk to everything. Loved Starbucks, Dining hall, all right there, Bar, too😁

Still a lot of renovations going on, but necessary. Have no dislikes.

Location, location, location!! Location was awesome for going to Mammoth Cave!! Cabin was rustic but comfortable. Felt like camping but in a cabin. Kids loved it!

Some gaps under the door and windows, but it was a rustic cabin… so was generally okay.

It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and air conditioned!

Mice got in to our room at night - keep NO food in your cabin!

This cabin is suped up Sleep Away Camp or Camp Crystal Lake... it was rustic, wood walls, shared shower, and no TV. But, it was so clean (no bugs/or cobwebs), and there was a top-notch ac unit. The cabin is a must stay if you are in the market to do a long cave tour. They had a coffee shop, restaurant, and café within walking distance.

The restaurant was terrible and overpriced. The staff were about to duke it out in front of all of us. It was quite the show. The food was school cafeteria quality. NOT GOOD. The cabin and tour was great!

Very simple and outdated decor and facilities, for food not close properly. Need Major improvement and upgrades. Dinner at the Restaurant also not up to expectations

I liked the fact that we were changed to a decent hotel room.

We were placed in a cottage and it was terrible. The a/c didn't work, the fan was filthy the sheets were all stained, the bathroom door didn't lock, and had to kill a wasp. I complained to front desk and he was nice enough to assign us to a room in the lodge.

This is one of our favorite places to stay with one big caveat. Please see below. These cabins were so adorable! We rented two of the woodland cottages (106 and 108) and one of the historic cottages (#6). The historic cottage was like a studio with a bathroom. The woodland cottages were two bedrooms with a bathroom in between and doors so that you could close off the other bedroom. They were very cute and well equipped and were perfect for our family of 5. The location couldn't be better. After a decent drive from the highway, you come to the lodge and cabins which are situated right on top of the cave entrance. The buildings are beautiful, the restaurant is great, with delicious food and friendly staff, and the visitor's center has lots of information and a gift shop. The landscape is full of large trees and open grass areas. All the facilities are perfect, and of course, the cave itself is stunning.

The only, and significant, problem we had was that woodland cottage number 108 was crawling with bedbugs. They came up from the bed and down from the curtains. Needless to say, this put a damper on the stay! In the morning the staff refunded our cost for that cabin and were apologetic. There was nothing else they could do at that point and I hate to leave negative feedback, but I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else. Please check your beds in any hotel/cabin.

What a great "best kept" secret. These were built in 1920, have been remodeled with AC, bathroom and comfortable beds. It wasn't busy and I enjoyed a quiet hike early in the morning with just my dog and the friendly local deer.

I wish the camp store was open a little later only because we came back a little later from the hike and pretty much all of our food options were closed.

The Historic Cabins are very old and worn looking. The plaster was cracked and blistered in several places. The front step was sunken so the last step into the cabin itself was about 12 inches high and there was no railing or handle to assist with getting up that step. (Not all of the 10 cabins had as high of a step.) The Booking.com description said the room would not be charged until check-in, but they charged my card for the first night immediately. Additionally, the taxes shown in the price on Booking.com were $10 short of the actual amount charged. The desk staff told me "you'll have to take that us with Booking.com." I likely would not stay here again.

Bed was very old and had a huge dip on one side of bed that made you roll to the middle. Sheets were a little dirty.

Being onsite at the park was amazing. We hiked, enjoyed the cave tours, and the cabin was rustic but beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning was COLD. There is no television and no reliable wifi - which was great for us. Plenty of hot water. This isn't fancy but it was very clean and comfortable.

Our second bedroom had serious issues with the electrical plugs -- one of which was half hanging off the wall and sparked. We froze the first night because we couldn't figure out the air conditioning settings - and no instructions on how to unlock it. We had planned on eating at the lodge all three meals but they were out of a lot of the food on the menu, so selection was very limited.

Great location in the heart of the park. Walk to trails and to cave tours.

Restaurant food was terrible, though it was convenient and service was great. Our room needed updating- it’s not one of those historic lodges, it’s like an old motel. Extremely adequate.
