Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe view from our room was of the wall of the building opposite but we were only in the room to sleep anyway so wasn't really a big deal for us
Really great vibe, hotel is a museum in itself which we loved. Good location near Union Square with easy access to the Cable Car which was our primary mode of transportation. Breakfast was plentiful, we left too early on our departure day to have a breakfast to go but apart from that a great stay! Lovely touch of happy hour upon arrival :)

United KingdomThe bathroom was quite basic and could maybe do with a refurb.
The hotel is in a great location to explore the city with public transport links close by. We stayed in room 512, they were spacious and clean rooms with everything you need including a safety deposit box. The beds are huge and incredibly comfortable. What was an added bonus was the daily happy hour from 4 until 6pm, where hotel guests can have complimentary beer, and selected wine and spirits. We took advantage of this throughout our stay. The breakfast has a good variety and it all tasted good, it was a buffet but they also provide table service. There is a good daily maid service and the WiFi speed worked well also. The staff on front desk were really friendly and on a couple of occasions gave us some smaller currency notes which was so handy. We paid £525 for 3 nights which I feel was very reasonably priced. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel!

PolandI did not like during a self service breakfast that you get handed a voluntary service fee bill (tip) for the waiter. Well the vallet parking is extra paid, few buildings away and it takes quite a few minutes to get your car.
Breakfast was always the same and options were limited, but enough for a 2 day stay. The view was really nice. The value for the money was really good, even when you add on the parking cost. The food in the restaurant on the 12th floor is alright but slightly overpriced, but you pay for the view as well. If you want to do laundry there is both washer and dryer on thre 4th and 6th floor, you get detergent in the reception. I really enjoyed that this also serves as a place of memory of Marines, and when you walk in and out of your room, you read the stories of the men on the pictures and it does work better then any museum or memorial hall, because it is embedded in the fabric of the hotel corridors. The posters, the pictures, the artifacts make it a place with character.

United States of AmericaBreakfast doesn’t include bread or toast! The tenderloin isn’t far so sometimes the homeless and drug problems creep into the neighborhood.
Quiet, well maintained hotel. Fast elevators. Decent breakfast. Climate control is quite good. We ended up turning it off and in late August the temperature inside was pretty steady and pleasant.

IsraelThere is no bathtub, only a shower and it was poorly lit.
The room was big and comfortable and was well lit. The location is right near union square. The breakfast was very good. There is free guest laundry. The hotel itself is very unique as it is also used as a memorial for the marines corps. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. The price was more than reasonable compared to other options in the area.

AustraliaNot much, the internet could have been a little quicker, other than that a great hotel.
Fantastic hotel with a lot of history. From arriving the staff where friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast buffet was great and happy hour is exceptional. The room although small was well laid out with plenty of storage space. Situated in downtown it is a perfect place to be able to get out and about and to have dinner and drinks afterwards.
