We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesStaff couldn't have been less helpful. I reserved a king bed and was told they couldn't accommodate so I said we can find somewhere else. It was our anniversary and we wanted a king bed. They then lied about a bed being cleaned (I've worked in many different hotel chains) amd made it seem like an inconvenience to put us in the bed we wanted. They gave us a key and nothing more was said. They didn't say where we could access an elevator or stairs or how to find our room. We then went searching and had to ask another guest where to find the elevator. They did even ask if we needed a cart for our luggage. The bed was also one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in.

United StatesOne thing we noticed in the dining room the carpets hadn’t been vacuumed. It looks like in a long time, lots of crumbs under the tables and on the carpets it was a Sunday night not sure if that was a reason or not.

RussiaI needed to communicate with the hotel staff in order to resolve some financial settlements regarding my staying. But the only option proposed was to call them by phone. This option was inapplicable for me because I'm from a different country. I'm sure it is necessary to offer an option to reach the hotel staff by an e-mail in order to make communication between hotel and clients more convenient.
The breakfast was very good. I'm fully satisfied with the variety of meals offered for breakfast. I would like to mention the exceptional staff who served the breakfast. Both ladies were extremely friendly, helpful and involved in the making clients' breakfast time happy. I am very grateful to them for making my staying at Marriott very pleasant. Moreover, I enjoyed the opportunity to swim in the pool. The swimming pool was very convenient and clean. Coffee and water with lemon served at the entrance hall were also attractive details for me showing that I'm welcome at Marriott.

United StatesI didn’t like that I didn’t receive any fresh towels. The beds were not made. I don’t like having the big dispensers for soap and shampoo. The body wash had a weird smell. Parking was almost $15 dollars each night which is a little on high end.
