Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. The pool was freezing and the pain chipping around the pool are was eh & It was pretty warm in the halls, elevator & public areas. However the rooms have individual a/c units and that was nice.
The rooms/bathrooms were clean and bed was pretty comfortable. The breakfast was also pretty good.

I didn't like the fact that they charged me more than I originally booked and did not provide me with the room I requested. At check-in, the agent was not very welcoming and tossed my identification on the counter without placing back on my hand.
The location was perfect. My family and I traveled from Southern Illinois to visit the University down the road, so the location was perfect.

The pool was ice cold I thought pools in hotels were to be a controlled temperature and that one was like ice. That's why we stayed was for the pool and hot tub

Eggs at breakfast, shortage of staff. The front desk clerk was doing hotel laundry also and running back and forth between desk and laundry room.
Breakfast was good although the eggs didn't taste like eggs

It used to really nice, it’s getting dated and damaged in bathroom’s was bad. For the money it is not worth the location.

The bed was so-so, but I know you can't please everyone. The toilet paper was super thin and had to use so much more than usual.
The check-in and out hours were nice. The location was around places to go and do. Breakfast was good, also a nice variety and different options both days. The pool had adult hours.

The heating/cooling unit and wall thermostat weren't working properly during our stay. We had to ask for extra blankets to stay warm at night. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan, and it got really humid and stuffy in there. Also, we weren't given fresh towels or extra coffee/cups for the next day. The colors on the TV were unnatural, and the remote had no way to access the channel guide! Breakfast was fair, but the muffins were good.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with all our needs, and the location was very convenient. Easy to find, restaurants within short walking distance. Room was clean and well spaced. Mostly quiet.

Was not able to use hot tub or pool, both times we stayed, with 2 children and had been traveling for 12-14 hrs before arriving

the bed was WAY TO HARD. it felt like sleeping on the floor. Walls are a bit thin, you can hear conversations in the room beside you!

The carpet in the room was very unappealing and had a slight order. We had to buy Disinfectant spray for the carpet.
I like that they had a working gym, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. They was even friendly to my dog.

The pool was disgusting, freezing cold, and had paint chipping off the sides. Also had a bad smell. Also, there were stains on the carpet in our room.

There were stains in the carpet of our room. An IHG employee (who was staying there but did not work at that location) was loudly expressing all the unsafe conditions in the hotel. Specifically that the fire extinguishers hadn’t been tested/they were outdated, the toiletry items in the bathroom were out of safe dates, the food at breakfast was not at a safe temperature. In addition, the hot tub water was murky and paint was chipping off the walls in the pool area. The staff made no apologies as I stood there listening to them while I waited for my pull out couch bed linens that should have been in the room when I arrived. Aesthetically, it was dated, but more importantly, I did not feel safe.
