Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The facilities in the kitchen are dated and the air conditioning is a bit finicky. AC can leak and needs special care The kitchen equipment like the stove is a bit finicky...you have to make sure the coils are pushed into there slots correctly or the stove doesn't turn on. The Landry was not built into the room.
Location was good. Apartment space was as advertised. Parking easy, the view of mountains.

Dated furnishings and not the cleanest. Also, key to pool was not marked. It said laundry and not explained in the loooong list of rules.

Comfortable condo. Centrally located and quiet. Hosts were very helpful and responsive to questions. Comfortable bed. Liked having the full sized kitchen. Small beach across the street where we could watch the sunset. They also had some beach gear we could use, chairs, fins, etc.

I didn’t want to leave!
Property was easy to find and in a great location. Check in was super clear, and host was amazing—accessible, helpful, friendly. Kitchen was stocked and I was also grateful for the beach chairs and giant umbrella. I love the beach right across the street! Beautiful spot for sunrise and sunsets.

There isn't anything we disliked. Only issue I would like to mention was that I noticed the shower had a very small leak where it would have a slow drip even long after it had been shut off. I think a simple plumbing job will fix the issue in no time. That's all I noticed. Everything else was just fine 👍🏽
How it felt like you were at home almost like you never left home in the first place. All the basics you needed were right there and within easy reach. All in all, it was a very good experience for needing some place to sleep in-between going out on our adventures. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs a more intimate place to stay. Thank you so much! 😄

Nothing! It was literally amazing!
It was nice because the "key" was a code. We enjoyed not having to keep up with much when going on hikes or the beach so just having a key code to remember was super convenient. The kitchen was nice even though we did not cook or prepare anything we loved having a FULLY stocked kitchen if we had wanted to. The shower was a good size with plenty of room. The bedsheets were so amazingly soft and the AC was always perfectly cooled at night. The condo is so close to everything we wanted to do considering we had a lot on the north and east side of maui we wanted to see. Neighbors were nice and quiet. Host was amazing and willing to answer any questions fast and help us out with any issues! We felt really at home like it was our own and made our stay so much more comfortable and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maui! Which I hope we do!

They door stuck every time we opened and closed it. Maybe add more towels to the collection.
I liked all of the things they had for us to use. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans.

Very loud AC, also doesnt cool properly :( Bed mattress is very outworn, 2 people will keep rolling to the middle. One of us had to sleep in the end on the couch so we could have some rest.

It was great place, just a little bit pricey!
We liked the location of the place. Exactly what we were looking for in a place to stay. It was also nice they left an umbrealla and chairs for the beach.
