Good place not far from city center
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • King Room - Non Smoking/Pet Friendly
    • Stayed 3 nights

WiFi did not work, the room was recently painted and still smelled of paint.

The property was conveniently located 5 min away from city center with easy access to highway. Several eateries and Starbucks nearby make staying very comfortable. The rooms are large with modern amenities and recent renovation. Lots of towels, 4 large pillows, very comfortable bed, coffee machine and large TV.

    Great location. Comfortable beds.

We “signed up” for daily housekeeping and they didn’t come second day and we had to ask for more towels. Seems like at that price point housekeeping should be included.

    Cute and convenient

My only issue was that the air conditioning/fan unit was so loud and went off and on all night long. Hopefully we just had a bad unit.

Staff was amazing as was the location. Rooms were clean.

I cannot think of much to fix with this hotel. The room was a bit cold and it had been raining (which is usual for Oregon) so we felt cold and damp upon arrival. We turned on the heater and the room quickly warmed. Nice!

This property exceeded our expectations! It was very clean and modern. It was no frills and extras but was definitely comfortable and had all the necessities we needed for our stay. There was an outdoor gathering area for those who wanted to hang outside and socialize and plenty of beverages inside for purchase. U of O was right across the street and there were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The staff were friendly. The price was right. Parking was free with a large parking lot.

Comfortable, affordable and close to campus
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveler
    • King Room - Non Smoking/Pet Friendly

Doors had a 3/4 inch gap beneath them that let in sound, light and cold air. Blocked it with a towel, so not a deal breaker, but something that could be fixed.

Right across the street from U of O. Easy walking distance to the campus, food and transit. Room was nice, not over the top, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast "grab and go" foods were better than the normal stuff you get with fresh bagels and fresh pre-made sandwich options. Fresh coffee was also way above the normal level for a hotel.

Great value if visiting the University of Oregon on a budget!

This is a cute hotel literally across the street from the University of Oregon. It was about a 2 block walk to my daughter's dormitory. It isn't fancy, more like an upgraded Best Western. That said, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows, the shower was excellent and the staff are super friendly and helpful. There is free parking on site and it was very quiet at night, making it easy to get a good nights sleep. While I did not use it, as I am not really a breakfast person, there is a free light breakfast in the morning next to the lobby that looked nice. Will definitely consider staying there again when I am visiting the campus!

The security door that you access from the side of the building (2nd floor) did not latch. Being that I was there alone, I wish that would have.

Coffee was great! Tamara was wonderful! Explained anything I asked about, very sweet and always smiling. The room was clean, very basic, but nice enough for the price.

There should be a sign at the lobby entrance hanging above that says please do not block driveway. Every time i wanted to go to my hotel room there was a car with the entire family inside checking in or getting drinks and i was left to wait until they were finished. Very ACKWARED ENTRANCE AND EVEN THE DESK STAFF COULD KINDLY TELL THE PERSON TO PARK AND THEN COME IN.

    excellent

There was no extra chairs or a table in the room to eat our breakfast. One had to sit on the bed, and the other in a desk chair for price of room. There should have been at least a table to sit at.

How close it is to Matthew Knight Arena

Just felt like it could have a been a bit more clean/fresh. I didn’t feel quite as comfortable/secure here, as a female solo traveler, as I thought I would.

Friendly service. Cute lobby area with merch and yummy local coffee. Nice patio outside if weather permits. Liked the look of the outside. Everything worked in the room and was very spacious. Like the adventure theme :)

They charge per day everyday you stay for pet. Sometimes over charge my credit card which finally resolved but when traveling it is helpful to be more accurate. Pet charge should be pet stay not daily.

The staff could have been friendlier upon arrival, I was traveling in for work the next day and the individual checking me in was cold to me (attitude wise).

The remodel and rebranding of this hotel was genius. Being on campus, sandwiched between Holiday Inn and Best Western and a couple of mom and pop motels. The Maverick excels at providing an upscale stay at an affordable price point. This is my second stay and everything is just perfect.

The room was a remodel so it was clean for an older building. I would suggest adding some towels bars or hooks in the bathroom and a better or additional lamp to warm it up a little.

The room was clean and it was a good location for our dogs. The staff was friendly and helpful.
