Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI would say the bed in our room is due for a new mattress.
Everything about the home was beautiful and the area around was so peaceful. We enjoyed snuggling the goats and walking the trails. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!

United States of AmericaWe loved the cottage, but we were there when there was an infestation of ladybugs inside the cottage. It was more of a nuisance than a real problem.
We loved the location. We loved the cottage and the setting was ideal. We enjoyed that the property was a working farm. The hammocks and Adirondack chairs were a nice touch. The availability of the fire pits was great.

United States of AmericaNothing not to like! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We didn’t like anything…we loved everything! Exceeded my expectations and I have high expectations! Charming property inside & out. The personal touches made for a unique experience, with all the comforts of home and then some. Lush bed & bedding allowed for one of the most comfortable nights rest I’ve had in years. Breakfast rivals any high end restaurant. Outstanding both in taste and preparation. Highly recommend.

United KingdomNothing. Everything is perfect. I cannot express how well you'll be looked after if you stay here (which I highly recommend!).
We were so well looked after. Casey went above and beyond to both make us feel welcome and to facilitate any and every need. We couldn't have asked for a better hosting experience. The food was great too!! The pictures do not do the place justice either. The building, grounds and rooms are all incredible and look and feel even better than the photos we saw before arriving.

GreeceThe hot water temperature at the shower faded out after some time of use. This might be a problem when travelling with kids. I would also like to be able to use the fireplace of the room as the suite was gorgeous and you could spend sometime in it sipping a glass of wine.
We stayed for a day during a weekend road trip! Beautiful house and landscape. I believe one of the most iconic in the area! Friendly hostess, spacious room, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast.

United States of AmericaNothing to put here. Casey was an amazing host. Perhaps if you can’t do stairs - stay on the main floor.
Breakfast was amazing! French toast with peaches and cream and bacon. it was delicious! My mother-in-law is gluten free- and Casey made her a special egg omelette for breakfast. The property is large with intimate areas / seating all over. A couple of places for a fire and s’mores at night if you want. Beautifully lit at night. Music playing through out the house. The Madison room was large with casual seating for 4 people and a very efficient gas fireplace. comfy king bed. Magnolia room had a shower and good views too. Make sure to walk up to the cupola! Love it and will stay again. Met some people in the morning and their friendly beagle - so cute. Close to wineries and Montpelier. Thank you for being such a great host Casey!

My 89y.o. mom and I were overwhelmed with the warm family welcome we received by this refreshing couple and their staff. They were extremely helpful with bringing our luggage in because we are both disabled. The Inn was not only exquisite but well decorated with warm touches of home here and there. The food was excellent. The massage was amazing. The goats were cool.

Mayhurst is a lovely old house which is being run as a B and B and a retreat along with some events. It is a calm ,peaceful and very relaxed place where guests are just encouraged to feel at home. We woke up to the sounds of birds singing had a lovely breakfast on the verandah outside.
