Room remodel was incomplete…needed more lighting (especially by the bed), needed another night stand, needed small refrigerator & microwave. Couldn’t figure out how to use tv. And needed extra trash bin. No breakfast.

The only heat is from a wall heater and an electric fireplace which means there is no heat in the bathroom. It was very cold in the bathroom area, especially the toilet area - brrr. They ask you to turn off the heat when you leave, but then it took several hours to warm the room up again which was not great.

The location was great - very close to Mendocino. The room was large and nicely decorated. The shower room was awesome!

The key was left in a box which allowed us to check in on our own but then when we had questions there was no answer at the phone number given for emergencies. Also just as a side note, it would be helpful to have printed directions on how to access the TV.

We feel lucky to have happened upon this charming little hotel. The room was wonderful, very spacious and clean with lots of space to move around. They had put the heat on by way of the fire place when we got there which made the room incredibly hot upon arrival. We did need to open all of the window that we could to try and cool the room down. By the time we got back from dinner the room was cooled down and we had a great night's sleep. You could tell care had been made to provide the just right linens and room accessories. The room has a more modern vibe but there was charm all around. Attention to detail was noted.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Beautiful and well maintained property. We could see the ocean in the distance. Nice large grass area for those traveling with a pet. The fire pit area was a really nice touch.

The property was beautiful and even though they’re doing construction, it doesn’t interfere with rooms or access. I love the views and it is a safe and accessible location.

Curtains in the room were very thin and see-through so it was extremely bright in the mornings. Blackout or at least thicker, darker curtains would be a small change that would make a big difference. Water didn’t get or stay extremely hot but it was warm enough to be comfortable.

Very cute room, much more spacious than expected. Big, cozy and comfortable bed and chairs. Fridge/microwave were unexpected bonuses that were very nice to have. Big TV. Heater worked great. Super quick drive into the main town, and to hikes in the area.

Non functioning fridge in room was a bit of a bummer. The porch light did not appear to have an off switch and was unfortunately positioned so that it cast light into the room towards the bed. Would’ve been nice to be able turn it off as we prefer to sleep in a dark room.

Not much I didn’t like! Some things to keep in mind: They didn’t have daily turndown service but I don’t like daily turndown so that didn’t bother me at all. You can always get fresh towels or anything else you need at the front desk. Rooms didn’t have a refrigerator and Mendocino is a small town that closes early so I had to get most of my meals out in fort Bragg but again, they didn’t advertise to have these things and it wasn’t a big deal not to have them.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and newly renovated. Super pet friendly. They even had a little welcome kit for my pups. Beds were plush and comfortable. Loved the bungalow feel. They had a little campfire area and had stuff for s’mores in the office. Outside seating areas for picnics and sitting. Didn’t feel like I was staying in a hotel. You can tell they put a lot of love and effort into it. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and found myself spending more time in the room because it was so comfortable.

There was a very large gap between the entry door and the floor so our room could not get warmer than the outdoors even with the heater on full and a little slug entered our room. This was all solved by relocating the slug and moving the bathroom rug to block the gap. But the management should put in weather stripping at the base of the door. And some curtains over the windows instead of shutters would keep the heat in too.

I loved the little bungalows. They’ve all been very nicely remodeled so they are fresh and modern. I liked the quiet heater in the fireplace and the laminated wood flooring. Also, the view out of the room’s back window was beautiful.

The fireplace was very cute, but it wouldn't turn down to low. So it was very hot in the room when the heater was on!

The room was very well designed. It was spacious, comfy, and the large shower was great. The customer service was excellent. We were trying to get a selfie outside and someone ran out to take our picture. I love that we could bring our dog!

We had a fantastic experience at Mendo Bungalow. We stayed in the economy queen room. The place was impeccably clean and had a sleek, modern interiors. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A delightful surprise was the marshmallow kits they provided, which added a fun element to our evening as we roasted marshmallows. Highly recommended for a family looking for a cozy getaway!
