Not as good as the Kimpton in London

    • Queen Room - High Floor

Difficult to find as the outside had scaffolding so it did not look like a hotel. Construction going on while I was there, so restaurant restricted in opening. My room only had one narrow thin window. Same brand as the hotel I stayed in in London, but worlds apart in luxury and experience.

Bed very comfortable. Coffee machine and kettle in room. Loads of channels on TV (which was good as I have a leg that sometimes plays up and I am stuck in the room). Easy to get to central Seattle for tours.

I did not like the fact that in order to get your valet parking, you literally had to park in the lane on the street. But that’s the city fault.

I like how he was even though it was under renovations and how well that was set up.

Hotel fulfilled role, Andrew and Giovanni saved the day!

Sadly, this list is longer than the above. 1) When it said it had own parking, I thought ok, $45/night. The first shock was that there was, but it only valet and $75/night. I now know that this comes with staying downtown - lesson learned. 2) To say they are renovating, is a little generous, but ground floor is frankly unacceptable. It is merely a couple of tables and a bench. No bathrooms, no chairs, lots of dust and wires - does not really "welcome". 3) for $300/night, it was a bit Spartan in setup. No coffee maker, no microwave 4) my wife goes to use restroom, and the seat has dry specs of urine, not a little, quite visible. Housekeeping came right away.

Andrew (valet) and Giovanni were the highlight of the stay. They both had a genuine desire to please and take care of my concerns. The truth is that thanks to them, this review is a 4 and not a 1. Moises was also very helpful. One other main feature is that it is within blocks of most downtown attractions.

The valet area is unmarked and unsafe. You have to exit your car between a bike and scooter lane and a busy turn lane. No one was there to direct us. Out tv didn’t work and after waiting 45 min for someone to come fix it we were told the problem was a glitch in the building which turns out was not the case. We told the staff at checkout to send engineers begire re-renting the room.

Great location. Friendly staff. Rooms recently renovated and very nicely done. Lobby was under construction but looks like it will be beautiful once completed.

It was not disclosed that the lobby was completely under renovations. That kind of ruined the charm of everything and we were not given the opportunity to get a discount due to that because we booked through booking.com

As an early riser, I would have preferred to have the restaurant open at 6:30, not 7.
