The initial reaction to the neighborhood was slightly upsetting, but I found it to be safe. My only real complaint was the lack of nearby eating places.

Very nostalgic, homey environment. Katherine was really sweet and was concerned about my comfort while a guest. I would definitely go back if I were to stay in Buffalo again. Also, easy access to highways to Niagara Falls and south to Pennsylvania.

There was only one problem. I hope I didn't unplug something essential in the room so I could charge up my phone. All of the outlets in the room had something plugged in

I forgot to bring food to cook, so, I was happy that there's a store within walking distance, because I don't drive. The inn keeper was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Buffalo

Very cozy Victorian style guesthouse in the quiet neighborhood. Very friendly and responsive staff. Clean, neat. Beautiful kitchen, comfortable room. I enjoyed our stay at the house very much. Highly recommend for a trip to Buffalo or Niagra falls. Just 40 minutes drive to the waterfalls!

Area is a little sketchy. The locks to the property stick and are difficult to open from the outside. It would be nice if waste paper baskets in bathroom and bedroom would be changed daily. A history of the property would be great. TV was not programmed for local channels.

Very clean, beautiful bedroom and kitchen. Catherine is a great innkeeper as she is friendly and helpful. Shared bathroom was clean. The shower is enormous.

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the Moreland Guesthouse. Not really sure of what I was to have expected, it was quaint and reminded me of my grandma's house. I was greeted warmly after a seven-hour drive, sat in the living room and took a conference call, was given a tour and not rushed in any way. I have never stayed in a guest house before, but this one has made me rethink what I have been missing. I loved it, felt safe, and was quite calming. I didn't ask if there was a list of local preferred restaurants. However I just googled places, and it was fine. It was quite close to an Aldi, a pizza shop, and a 7-11 (which was walkable). As I explored the community, I realized that I was essentially 15 - 20 minutes from almost everything.

I had a wonderful stay at Moreland Guesthouse. Although the room was rather small, it was cozy and had everything I needed. The shared areas were well-equipped and comfortable. The innkeeper, Catherine, was incredibly nice and very helpful. The neighborhood was pleasant and inviting. If I return to Buffalo, I will definitely try to book a room at Moreland Guesthouse again.

The mattresses were foam, only half an clear-pane splashguard on the shower stall (no door, no curtain or frosted glass), only one toilet -- very tiny stall -- in the upstairs bathroom BUT the premises is under renovation, so maybe that'll be different in the future. Also Rhys the Yorkie didn't make an appearance. I know he's not always there, but I was looking forward to a chance at meeting him. ♥dogs♥

Not too far from the city center, residential area, cute and quaint, just enough to have a place to put my head at night. I was charmed from the moment I stepped inside. House was a little chilly, but it was early spring and there's a POWERFUL space heater available in each bedroom. Innkeeper was so sweet and easy to talk to. Pizzeria and convenience store within walking distance!

The location on "Iron Island" was good, the distance to the center was quite short for those traveling by car. The staff was friendly and understood the challenges of a first-timer in this kind of accommodation. Although the neighborhood looks quite suspicious to an outsider, I didn't notice any problems the whole time. I already knew after the first night that I wanted to stay here again. The nights I slept here were the best during the whole vacation, and all the other nights I slept in hotels. A big thank you to the owners for being able to offer such accommodation!
