How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The parking area had people hanging out and felt very sketchy It made me uncomfortable My car was damaged about 1000.00 worth of work to cover a scratch. And repaint the door. That was damaged in the parking lot And when attendance were made aware this was not an issue for them I was so mad 😡 We asked away from others. And therefore someone went out of there way to damage my car 🚗

Verified reviewWe walked into our room, and I immediately went into the bathroom. A huge cockroach ran across my lap. I, of course, freaked out, ran to the front desk, and my daughter picked up a towel with bed bugs. We couldn't run out of that shit hole fast enough. Thank god we didn't carry anything in.

Verified reviewPretty convenient to where we were going and coming from . The night manager who checked us in was a very nice person and excellent customer service attitude.
The hotel was freshly painted, but it was generally in poor condition. The woodwork and general condition was poor, needed to be replaced and was not painted. and the rooms were very bare. We did not have enough towels. There were no hand towels only washcloths. Our bathroom did not have a trashcan. We were given one tiny bar of soap. Which was barely usable for four people. The phone had a flash flashing light on it that we could not turn off so we had to disconnect the phone. The phone rang incessantly for an hour from 8 to 9 AM. We could all hear it as there was a connecting door between our rooms. The hallway smell of smoke, the pool was broken so our kids were not able to swim in the pool. The hallway smelled very strongly of smoke. Our room, fortunately did not so that was fortunate. The room service opened our door without knocking and tried to come in at around 9 AM before seeing our items and quickly closing the door. The person was very apologetic when I opened the door to see if everything was OK.

It was absolutely disgusting. The first room was not swept sticky substances on surfaces. The second room had dead cockroaches everywhere it was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen.

They’ve turned the property into a homeless shelter or refugee camp of some sort. They canceled our reservation without telling us and we drove 4 hours just to find out. Had to pay $300 extra to stay at the Knights Inn down the road which was an excellent stay!!! Highly recommend!!! Motel 6 corporate has done nothing to fix the issue other then request the property pay for one night at the other hotel, which they never responded about so we’ve received nothing and corporate is doing nothing about it.

Verified reviewReserved a room at this facility over a year ago and when I showed up.at the property not only was there trash debris blowing around the parking lot and broken down cars with people living in them, I went inside the building just to be laughed and and told by a staff member that they have been closed for a year and a half and they are only housing refreges. When I asked why they are still allowing people to book rooms with them, I was ignored. There was even a confirmation email sent out the week before I was suppose to be there, no one called before hand when they had a whole year to reach out and they are seeing the reservations because they told me what site and everything that it was reserved on. Then after I leave the property there was an email sent out that some ammenities may be unavailable due to a covid 19 outbrake, but yet nothing was posted at the door and they surely don't have any sanitation means at the door. Just over all terriable experience. I feel they should be removed from allowing people to put reservations in, makes me wonder how many other people they have done this too!

This hotel has not been open to the public for a few years I was stranded and bookings . Com kept hanging up on me I had to pay 600$ for another hotel because we were 5 hrs from home when I called bookings they kept hanging up on us I NEED ALL MY MONEY BACK WORST EXPERIENCE THEY ARE NOT EVWN COMMUNICATING WITH HOTEL ITS MIGRANT SHELTER

I didn’t get to stay here unfortunately they called me the day I was suppose to arrive when I was four hours away to let me know they canceled my reservation. When I live 15 hours away. I think they should’ve called me earlier in the week to let me know this, I had to try and find a place for me and my family somewhere to stay for the three days we were very lucky that we found a hotel. Very unprofessional.
