Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was construction going on in the house right across from us (I know this can’t be helped and won’t be there forever). If you are a larger person, the bathrooms you won’t be able to fit into. I was 30 weeks pregnant, short and my boyfriend is 6 feet 2 inches but you can’t close the door to one bathroom without hitting your knees to the door, the other bathroom you couldn’t sit on the toilet without your legs being closed, was very narrow. The water pressure was terrible in the showers. It was a great size for my 6 year old. The windows, some of them wouldn’t close all the way and some were broken, so you could hear everything, I recommend bringing a sleep app to drown out the noise from outside especially when going to bed.
This property was great, super cute. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was great for cooking in. Not a far walk from the beach or to vons. Over all it was nice.

United States of AmericaThe cottage really felt like “home” away from home. We loved that we were able to barbecue and all appliances, pots/pans and utensils were available. Location was right in the middle of parks, grocery store and shops. If I had a questions or needed help, staff was quick to answer and help me and were very polite. Very nice and relaxing stay.

United States of AmericaHaving to leave! A bit pricey, but that’s just Catalina in general. We honestly have no complaints.
Everything! This was a fantastic, quaint, clean, and comfortable place to stay on the island. The location was great and easy to walk everywhere (very close to the market). It’s on a quiet street where cars aren’t allowed, so good for kids of all ages. We will definitely return!

United States of AmericaThe bathrooms were a little small and there was no fan for ventilation so this would be a nice upgrade! Other than that I was very pleased.
Cute and cozy, very much felt like being at home! Had all the necessary amenities. The supermarket was also a 3min walk away and all town activities were less than an 8 min walk! Everything was incredibly accessible so didn’t have any need for taxi services or a golf cart. Additionally, a happy surprise upon our arrival, eucalyptus ave (where the cottage is located) is on a private road, so no vehicles we’re able to come through. If you have small kiddos you can rest assured that they can be out playing and enjoying the sun safe from traffic from cars coming up and down the road. :)

United States of AmericaThe only thing that was missing was a fan in the first room. The weather wasn't bad, but sometimes, I just needed a bit of air in that room.
The cottage was cozy and relaxing. One of the things I liked the most was that the street was a private street, which very few cars/golf carts passed through. It was also close to the main grocery store. We bought a few groceries and cooked our own meals. It was walking distance to the beach. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

United States of AmericaThe place was not clean enough - it seems to need a deep cleaning. I wiped down the counters and fridge before using and the cloth was dirty. Also, the interior has not been painted in a long time and was dingy. The bar stools were rickety and one was falling apart. The back bedroom was a little disheveled - beds were a bit messy and my daughter would not sleep there because it was gloomy. The exterior needs paint and/or power washing. Some of the slatted windows did not work. For 500.00 a night, even with the location, the place did not feel like a good value.
I loved the location - very close to downtown on a gated, quiet street with very cozy cottages. I also love the 70's vibe and decor. The bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked and the towels were very fluffy.

United States of AmericaNot the owner's problem but construction was going right across the street while we were there. The construction workers did not start to tell 8 and we were up already but there was not any quiet during the day. The windows are flap windows so the sound of the street was not held back. Thankfully the street in front of us was not an actual street so no cars but you can hear all the foot traffic and conversations.
I loved the ability to walk everywhere. There was a park right up the street for the kids, the grocery store was right at the bottom of the street and the town was a block and a half away. You can walk everywhere and it is amazing.
