We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesA few of the bedroom windows weren’t latched on arrival. In the two bed room, the right window took two ppl to latch. One from the outside pushing in and another inside to turn the latch. That room also didn’t heat well. It was in the teens so it got pretty chilly at night. The living room furniture wasn’t very comfortable but most of our time was spent in the city so it wasn’t too big of an issue…
Location was excellent. It was a few minutes to everything we wanted to see during this trip. The place was clean and parking across the street was easily accessible.

United StatesNo closet or chest (drawers) in room with 2 double beds. No hand towels in either of the 2 bathrooms ( only 2 washcloths & 3 bath towels in bathroom), no place to hang towels or sit toiletries. Believe that the towel bars where not put up securely (2nd bathroom had no towels on and immediately fell down when we tried to put a towel on it). 1st bathroom was also about ready to fall. The single bedrooms bathrooms shower/hair products container fell off into the shower. Parking was not good across street (could not get app to work) understand this was not their fault- but really need a better parking situation.
Close to attractions. Bldg seemed secure.

United StatesThis place was disgusting. There was hair in 2 out of the 3 beds. Stained sheets. Smelly dishwasher. There were water bugs. We didn't come on vacation to clean bedding upon our arrival. Above the unit there is a small child that ran back and forth until after midnight, but that is out of their control. There were rules after booked i.e. no shoes in the unit. Also to put all used towels by the washer when we leave. The host reached out during our 2 day stay stating the maintenance man was in the area and was coming to fix an issue that I never complained about. That should have been addressed before or after our booking. Why would I want a stranger,in an apartment like unit, fixing something I never said was an issue? The unit is adjacent to an abandon building but I never felt unsafe, the location was actually great. But this was my first air bnb like booking thru this app and it'll be my last.
