Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe discovered that water was leaking from the bathroom ceiling, walls and the toilet was partially backed up. We were reassigned to a smaller, less appointed room but the water to the sink faucet was inextricably shut off.
The hotel is centrally located with easy access to many attractions.

United States of AmericaSmells like marihuana in the hallways, not sure it’s the new paint but never smelled paint like this 😉 Parking is terrible in the surrounding area. Nearby Parking garages are closed after 10 pm. 2 block away is a no go for families due to the many homeless and drug addicts walking around. So also no option to park your car here. Find a spot more towards the financial center is better.

United KingdomElevator didn't seem to work. Not too much of an issue for us as we were on 2nd floor but would have been frustrating if we were higher.
Simple but nice fitness room included in the hotel which was free to use. Staff were nice, beds were incredibly comfy.

United States of AmericaI was not allowed to check in, no real reason was given. I was very hurt and offended, as well as very angry, I am very sure it was because I date black women, and have for years, that’s why I know that’s why, I have experienced racial discrimination too many times, and know it when I experience it. I can’t believe that that sort of thing still happens, especially in San Francisco. I’m very angry, and think I should be given a huge apology, and a free week in that hotel, or one that’s comparable. I was told it was because I did something to the room, that is a bold face lie, my deposit was returned in full, giving confirmation of that. I am still very upset, and deserve an apology from those people, as well as compensation, I have been a booking customer for some time, and use this service often. Something needs to be done to make this right
I was told that I could not stay at this hotel any longer. I had just stayed there for six nights, three nights earlier. When I went for this stay they said I was not welcome. They refused to give me a real reason.

I thought at first that the property was very nice, I stayed there for a week. But then it was booked up, so I left. For three days, when I came back with a new reservation, I was told that I was not going to be allowed in the hotel any longer. The excuse was that I left the room in bad condition. This was absolutely untrue. I left the room in fine condition, had picked up all my garbage, didn’t take anything, and was always polite. I’m very certain that the real reason is that I had two girlfriends visit me, and they were both BLACK. I have experienced this many times in the past, when also dating black women. 1000% that was the reason for me not being allowed back. They are obviously very racist. I am so beyond offended, and steaming mad. I truly believe that I should be fully refunded. I am so completely offended, and angry, my entire mood and evening has been ruined. This place should be fined and removed from booking.com

United States of AmericaTHERE IS NO PARKING AT THIS LOCATION. On their listing with booking.com the first thing listed is private parking. We called to confirm that there was parking at hotel and were told that there was parking. We asked where is it located and they said right by our room. This is not true. We were given a paper at check-in showing where we could park our car at a lot which was a 10 minute walk from our hotel and cost $30 per day. Also, sink is so tiny you can't put more than one little item on it. Description also said our room had A/C which it did not. There was a tiny portable heater and overhead fan, but no A/C. Room was too warm for sleeping even on a cool day. There was no top sheet, just a fitted sheet then a blanket with a topper on it. I called front desk to get a top sheet and when they came to the room, they brought no sheet, looked at bed with fitted sheet and blanket on it and said that is how they make the bed.
Clean room, comfortable bed.

United States of AmericaThe room was rather small and the strength of the laundry and cleaning products were off the charts of I tolerability. My husband and I stayed there years past and nothing like it was then.
I liked that the lobby had some coffee, tea and water accessable to the guests.

JapanThe location is convenient, but be careful. You could walk in one direction and end up in a rather sketchy area. Homeless people everywhere, feces and urine... and people drugged out of their minds. This can easily be avoided if you are just aware of your surroundings.
Great value, price and location. Staff was very accommodating and I have no major complaints about the facilities. My party I was traveling with was concerned about prices and this place was a great deal. It's a great place to just come back to at the end of a day of exploring. I would primarily travel by taxi or uber at night though.

United States of AmericaThe customer service was horrible. I paid for the deluxe queen room. It was supposed to have a jacuzzi tub like in the photos. Our room 511 was barely big enough to fit the bed. When I went to see if I was given the wrong room the person at the front desk was very rude and dismissive.
The old elevator was really cool. It was located walking distance from many restaurants and nightlife.

United States of AmericaLet's start from me requesting an early check-in, and the staff did not answer my emails not texts. Once I get there, obviously the room is not ready, they had no clue I ever emailed them. SF is very difficult when it comes to parking, and no member of the staff has any idea or clear notion about parking in the area. I understand that they themselves may not drive, but they should be informed for their guests. Finally, the rooms are SMALL, no tables, I was given a bunk-beds room, and the insulation between rooms is a joke - all night i heard people walking one floor up, or those next to me. I can appreciate trying to make the best of the space one has, but why would I want to pay a hotel price ($130 per night) if then what I get is the same as staying in a hostel....? Definitely a no for me.
It is positioned in t good spot, so there is a plus. And, the facilities were clean. But that is, to be honest, pretty much it.

AustraliaThe room are small and very noisy. Can't believe that street-facing rooms don't have double-glazing. Also, being close to a hospital, prepare to be woken regularly by ambulance sirens.
San Francisco is a very expensive city. This is what you get for USD300 in this city. An adequate room in a not-too-bad part of town. But don't venture too far in the wrong direction or you'll be in trouble.

KazakhstanWorst internet! It’s not working in the rooms. And it wasn’t only our problem, another man who asked about internet received the same answer as we. That internet will work properly soon. But it’s not. So if you are looking for the hotel with normal WiFi - this hotel isn’t good place in which WiFi works properly. Also you if you are planing to work on the laptop it would be impossible. Cause my husband went to the fist floor to the reception and worked there because of the issues with WiFi.

United States of AmericaDon’t go here if you want to sleep. It’s right next to a hospital so sirens are going by at all hours. Zero insulation; what happens on the street is basically happening in your room, same with whatever is happening in the hallways. Bonus street construction! Desk will also wake you an hour before check (you won’t be sleeping anyway). The wi-fi doesn’t work.
