Both the Air units in the room did not seem to run properly. The one in the bedroom sounded like it was consistently having trouble running. The one in the living room did not feel as though it worked at all. Also our first morning, I was up at 6am and went to get complimentary coffee, to find out it's only offered on Tuesday and Thursday and doesn't open until 9am.

I liked the layout of the room and having an elevated deck with a view of the ocean.

The exterior of the building in the area of our unit was in need of cleaning and maintenance, and therefore was not very welcoming.

The property is in a wonderful location with a beautiful view. The grounds are well landscaped and maintained. The unit itself was very spacious and well furnished and equipped. The property’s staff were extremely friendly and helpful (thank you to Sheila and Eric).

The manager of this facility is not taking accountability for the entrance door trouble that exists. Each day at least one of our key cards did not function properly. We were unable to leave and return. We were told by a systems man that we waited an hour and a half for that they had updated their system, yet the front desk was still making cards with the old system. The Manager kept blaming everything else. When I went down the 4th day in a row, one problem is having an issue the worst is not taking responsibility. The porch we had off of the Livingroom had an unmatched view. The trouble is when the air conditioning starts up, you have to turn them off for any peace. They are loud, especially the 2nd floor one that vents out to the porch. After two attempts to fill the Jacuzzi tub, I discovered a screw in the drain that made it unusable. I was so exasperated by the facility manager, I didn't bother to say anything. The hotel that shares the drive is an event facility which can effect the quiet. We were there for a prewedding party.

The area in which this facility is located is out of town and beautiful. It has a view that is truly breathtaking.

The air conditioner in the main living area didn't work. It stayed so humid in there that towels and bathing suits never dried. The bed and sofa couch, as well as the sheets were very uncomfortable.

Was advertised as a hotel but had no housekeeping. It was more of an AirB&B than a hotel. You and to strip your own bed before you checked out. Location 15 minute drive from downtown area. Overpriced and not accurately presented.

Dinner was average, but brunch on the following day made up for it. We had high hopes for the restaurant since staff members said they had a new chef, but I wouldn’t be bragging about that necessarily based off of our dinner experience. Not terrible food or price, but we definitely had far more exceptional food in downtown Newport.

Beautiful location near downtown Newport and Oceancliff provides a shuttle service on certain days, which is helpful because parking in downtown Newport can be next to impossible. We stayed in room G28, which had an incredible view and patio. Friendly staff, free parking, and a small heated pool were all a plus.

In general, the facility is in very poor condition -in and out. It is obvious that the owners have decided to stop putting any more money into this investment. Not clean. Bedding smelled. Kitchen poorly equipped.

Needed to put more Toilet Paper in the Bathrooms. Also the jacuzzi bathtub had a used bar of soap in it so we did not use it as we thought it may not have been cleaned.

We were there for my niece's wedding which was at the Hotel. The room was larger than expected for the price and very comfortable and the wedding was perfect!!!

The gentleman at the reception desk clearly didn't know much about the resort. Gave us the incorrect password for wifi, suggested the restaurant on property when there was a notice posted right next to me that stated it was closed for the season, wanted me to sign a paper regarding the rules and regulations for shuttle service to downtown right after he told me the shuttle was not in use during our stay. Upon departure guests are required to unmake the bed and place linens and towels in the plastic bags they provide. $10 fee if key is not returned.

We we were mislead as to what the hotel looked like. There are two hotels on this property, the ocean cliff 1&2 and ocean cliff 1. The former, where we stayed, is the most bare bones dated hotel. They use a photo of a structure that looks exactly like the adjacent unaffiliated hotel next to it, so you think you’ve booked the Ocean Cliff 1 hotel. The only positive was the room was very large and clean. The lobby and outside halls had a distinctive mildew oder, the pool did not look clean. They make you sign an inventory sheet when checking out, have all sorts of fees attached to it, would not stay here again or recommend.

The marketing includes the venue next door, which is misleading. The room was not available until after 4pm. Also, the bathroom attached to the bedroom had a hair clogged drain and lip stick on towel. Upon checkout, the rep asked about our stay and told her I was disappointed at the quality of the resort and rooms especially for the price paid. She let me know it’s no excuse but their rates are actually low for Newport and going up next year. Definitely will not go back to this resort.
