We didn't like the following things but this can be easily improved. No enough equipment for 4 people (number of glasses, of beach towels, e.g.). Dirty closet and blanket in the sleeping room. Greasy frying pans and cutlery in the kitchen. Dirty mat below the kitchen sink. We had to first wash them before use. No kitchen towels provided.

Very quiet (except the frogs at night ;-) ). Nice orchard. In the middle of the lava fields. Close to the more recent lava flows and Hilo. Table tennis. Clean bathroom.

The view and the grounds were absolutely beautiful! The beds were comfy…plenty of coffee…loved having two bathrooms…spacious apartment. The hosts were very accommodating with our particular situation. Thank you.

Sadly, I wanted to give this place a 5 star review but I have one major complaint; the host family lives upstairs from the rental unit and has a small child, a baby, and a dog. I awoke (early) the first morning to the sound of a kid running on the level above as well as a baby crying and the parents shushing it and a dog running. It is pretty loud. We arrived at night and I had no idea the family would be on top of us- this was not disclosed in the listing. At a minimum I think the host should disclose this fact in their posting. The noise situation sort of ruined the advertised experience of privacy and seclusion. They were lovely people I just feel they should be honest about the noise guests will hear.

Location, views, host responsiveness was great. Host was prompt about mailing back some items we had left. Charming spot off the beaten track near Pahoa. Property is well taken care of.

The only downside was that we were there to see the volcanoes in the national park. It was about an hour drive from this location. But that was our own choice to stay were we did an not any closer. So that is not to be a fault really at all.

This place was...for lack of a better word "Magical". I was highly impressed with how spacious and charming the place was. Although we never saw our hosts, they still left a kind little note card for us and let us know we were welcome. The view wa spectacular and the large balcony was so inviting with a great view of the ocean and more. Their property was spread out and I honestly felt I was in a little slice of paradise. 2 HUGE thumbs up for us. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality. I only wish I stayed there longer.

The fire alarm beeping on our first night, though Delia was super quick to come address it, so not a big deal at all. Everything else was great!

The views from the lanai were gorgeous. There are super cute little piglets on the property that we enjoyed watching while drinking coffee and having breakfast on the large balcony. The space was large enough for a group, so it was great for just a couple. The frog noises at night were really cool. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking, and we made use of the Keurig and French press. The provided coffee was much appreciated! The overall vibes of the place were so relaxing. We were out and about all day, but I would have been happy just hanging out. The welcome booklet also provided lots of helpful info about things to see and do. The grounds are beautiful. Would absolutely stay again.

Need to put the coffee filters in a container, there was a roach in the bag in the drawer.

The place was very clean and well decorated, very cozy feeling. Well stocked with personal items and lots of sunscreens. We saw a pig and another momma pig with five babies from the inside of the house.

Great spot out in the country! The kids loved the airplane hangar feel for the ping pong area, and the view from the loft and nature sounds were great. Beds were fine and kitchen was excellent. Perfect spot for our family. We even enjoyed some grapefruit off the tree (well, ground!). Loved it!

Great property, definitely recommend finding it during the day time. We read the comments not to find it at night, but ended up getting over there at night anyway. A little bit spooky but we still found our way. The house is amazing, such a beautiful property I have nothing negative to say. I was initially confused about if it was a private room and indeed it was. We had our own private apartment. We could hear the other room that was occupied by a family but it didn’t bother us one bit. We still felt secluded and like we had our own privacy. I only stayed for one night but wish I could’ve stayed longer. Would love to stay here again!

The porch and view are amazing. The big double doors that open from the living area were wonderful. There were toys and games for the kids. I would recommend this stay to anyone, especially families.

Location was phenomenal and the owners were very welcoming. I have nothing bad to say about this property. They had a great guide to everything local and things to do around the area. Highly recommend.

Didn’t? Umm, I wasn’t sure if 2 little glasses of orange juice in the fridge were for us so we didn’t drink them. When we entered I could smell old smoke, but it didn’t really bother me, I’m an ex smoker and it wasn’t triggering in a bad way. I had a very nourishing time and really can’t think of anything I didn’t like. I was blissed out!

I liked the ease with the booking and finding the place and it was easy to follow the instructions to get in. It was close the things we were doing and the beds we comfortable so we slept well. I loved looking at all the diversity on the property esp the clumping bamboo!
