There is no ice machine on the property; not every room has a mini fridge so if you want one, ask!

We liked the old world charm, with hardwood furniture in the rooms, attractive wallpaper. Bed was comfortable. We really liked using the fire pit that's on the property!

The queen room needs some minor repairs. It also has some unpleasant smell. Both rooms don't have a fridge and microwave. No coffee maker, also.

The double queen room was well maintained and clean. Comfortable beds.

The hot water took a while to come and the shower-tub was at a strange angle, but had a couple good grab bars.

Pretty location, a short drive to Williamstown. The bed was comfortable with 3 good chairs and the WiFi was good.

Don't bother booking a balcony room. They don't have balconies. Classic "motor hotel"...

Neither I nor the desk attendant could figure out why there is a surcharge for balconies. The rooms don't have balconies.

Very convenient to Williamstown, Williams College, Mount Greylock and surrounding Berkshire Country.

The key was left in an envelope taped to the reception door although the employee was in the premises. The noise from the heater kept us awake all night

Quintessential New England Place to Stay

The accommodations are very simple - I may have expected a little more, but it was perfect for one night. I wish there was a bit more room by the bathroom sink for toiletries, etc. Also, I think of an Inn as an older home. This looked like a motel.

The location was perfect for us, as we were doing a tasting at Mezze, which was in walking distance. We loved the pub, which is basically on the property. A lot of history, with a great, varied menu & lovely staff.

Sort of confusing set up--the motel is split between two sections, on either side of the highway. Took us a minute or two to figure it out. Name of the place makes it sound like it's some sort of historic property, but nah.

Set back from a semi-busy road, it was pretty quiet. Decor of the room was, um, entertaining. Home decorator working from 1980s wallpaper book, I think.

We discovered that one of the pillowcases had blood on it, but not our blood. We ended up removing the pillowcase and leaving it on the floor. Not a big deal, but the batteries for the TV remote did not work. Be careful about "large Moths" we killed like 4 of them at night, which is meh--I understand with doors opening to the wooded areas.

Great location--super quaint and cute. We would loved the rocking chairs on the porch, and it had cute little fire-pits along the property line. The location was great for us--about 3 miles total from Williams College, which was the reason for our visit.

    Location

Convenient location. The motel was very worn and not clean enough for my comfort. Some upgrades are definitely needed. The homey look would certainly feel better if it was portrayed as cared for.

There were a few loose tiles on the bathroom floor and there were a few maintenance issues with the exterior that needed to be addressed. Other than that, no complaints.

I loved the quiet location and the cute porch with rocking chairs. The room had enough modern conveniences to be comfortable and enough country charm to keep me happy. I loved how large the room was, the comfortable beds and soft towels.

The pillows were shamefully old and skinny. The very large pot holes at the entrance and the bridge are very difficult to miss as a newcomer. This could be fixed with some gravel!

Housekeeping brought me a replacement blow dryer in minutes after I notified them mine was broken.
