How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Parking. No pool.
It was ideal for one night for a large family. We rented the whole room which gave us 8 beds. We were only in town to go on a cruise the next day. The location was awesome. Parking was HORRIBLE. After we going parking, we didn't move anymore. Great location so we were able to walk everywhere. Would stay again.

The lack of english proficiency amongst the staff.
Card only payments for everything including laundry. The convenience to Miami Beach Convention center to a comic con.

You need to give the room lockers a really good wipe down. Mine had a funky smell that transferred over onto some of my clothes. Make that a priority please.
Location, layout, mostly friendly staff. Good daiquiris.

Centrally locates. Very close to the beach, less than 3 min walk to south beach. Restos and shops around. The water dispenser is a plus factor.

Lockers were a little small, but my things fit.
Very clean, excellent location, friendly bar, nice area outside of hostal to relax . Nice to have am coffee on site.

It was quiet enough when we were there, but I can imagine it might be party central just depending on the days you go and if you're in a dorm
Warm staff who remembered our names, large double room (much nicer than I was expecting in a hostel), clean, comfy in an art deco building. Walking distance to everything in south beach or you can hire a bike. We also managed to get paid parking on the street out front but it's not easy. I'd go back.

I wish there was a kitchen to store what we buy in supermarket and also Cook.
The first receptionist who welcomed me was so friendly, kind, extrovert. The location is fantastic and price, really affordable. There was just one girl, a chubby one, she was unnecessarily rude and sarcastic to me. Its such a shame I dont remember the name of either of em.

I wishbooking.com would make sure to tell you to bring your own lock. I had to spend $10 for a lock and then my suitcase would not fit in the locker. They could put a very small six pack refrigerator in the rooms for people to have a cold drink. That would not run up their light bill and been such a small refrigerator it couldn't be left a mess. My room was exceedingly hot My roommate and myself both ask and we were told there was nothing they could do about it. However the hallways are very cold so we propped open the door which may not have been safe at night but we just could not take the heat. If you're traveling be prepared bring your own washcloth. Those are not provided and soap and a blanket in case you happen to get a cool room. I was only giving a sheet to cover up with.
It was well located in the property was clean.

One free drink, very cheap and walking distance from south beach. It was good for the pricing however one of the staff ladies (healthier one from the reception) was rude for no reason. Other one was nice.

The only issue I had is that I had to sleep at the top of the bunk bed and in the room I was there was no charging outlets. But if you sleep on the bottom you get an outlet. And there was only one outlet extra in the room. Its a good place to stay if you are on budget, but would not stay more than 3 days
The location is perfect! walking distant from very nice spots and public transportation. And I also liked the bar area at the front.
