How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Not enough pillows.
Nice lodging, great value. Very clean room, plenty of space, no carpet, decent sized TV. Dylan at the front desk is the best. Very kind, polite and accommodating. He handled a misunderstanding about our pet fee and checked us in quickly. He’s familiar with the areas and was quite helpful with questions I had. When the microwave in our room had an issue he brought us a replacement immediately. Housekeeping at this hotel is out of this world! Who even comments on that, right? We set up cameras in our room to watch our dog but were completely blown away when they recorded the absolute thoroughness of the housekeepers. Sheets were completely switched out after our sleeping there just one night, she mopped the entire room, wiped everything down, tidied everything up and was very kind to our dog. Palace Inn stays pretty quiet at night despite being next to the freeway. The hotel directly behind Palace Inn has some questionable people coming, going & loitering but no one caused any problems. Decent parking. Pet potty area was adequate. Grab & Go breakfast isn’t much but the coffee is good and that’s what matters. Vending machine next to coin op washer & dryer on 1st level. Minuses - Pet cost hasn’t been updated on the website and is higher. Not enough pillows, 3 on a king bed, no extra pillows available.

The pillows were horrible. They need to be bigger and enjoyable. The shower head needs to be fixed. Water comes out the side. The outlets don't work correctly.
The room was nicely made and put together.

My door was broken and I was unable to leave my room as needed. Staff had to use the master key to let me in. No parking for me. I was the last person to arrive that night so I understand the parking lot can be full. But I did have to park across the street. Luckily the front desk agent watched my car to make sure it wasn't towed or tampered with.
I loved the beds. The staff was super nice. Some of the best customer service I have received from a hotel recently. The remodeling of the rooms were good. My room looked just like the pictures.

There were not many healthy choices for the breakfast.
The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. The value is excellent!

I did like the location. However, the room is close to I-45 a major highway. I could hear the cars on the highway if my T.V. was not on. There is another hotel behind where we stayed which looked a little sketchy. But overall this hotel is clean, safe, and not bad.
The staff were great. Very quick check-in process. The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the location. I was able to find restaurants pretty close to my hotel. The parking lot is clean and safe.

The bed slide around a lot! Also maybe some side lamps side the main lights are bright and great for sewing things but if you’re just reading they are a bit much

When checking the bed the sheets were stained and dirty when asking the front desk clerk for clean sheets she started arguing with me that the sheets were clean and nothing was wrong with them.No iron in the room and the housekeeper only came and brought towels one day even though my stay was for five days.
The room looked exactly like the photos from the website it was very neat n clean so I was very pleased by that. It was convenient to all the shopping n eating places.
