How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe two seat bathtub was excellent. Our room had a beautiful view from the bathroom, so a glass of wine in the jacuzzi tub was the relaxing birthday weekend I needed!
That the price of parking was not shown. Overnight parking was $70 after tax.

Verified reviewLocation, very spacious rooms, well equipped rooms, nice gym. Update: After posting the review, I was quickly contacted by the hotel management and offered compensation for the problems, which I really appreciate.
I booked the room through booking.com about 4 months before our visit. The price for 2 adults and 2 children (11 and 13 years old) was just under 300 USD with breakfast. After checking in I was told that breakfast was only for 2 people. The only solution was to pay for 2 breakfasts. Price on booking.com on the day was 60usd lower. There was no hand soap in the room, but this was solved very quickly by stuff. During our stay there was still a smell of marijuana in the hallway close to our room. The receptionist sent security, but unfortunately it was the same within an hour and during the night. A very unpleasant experience.

Verified reviewStaff was great, even though no one was there when I was trying to check-out in the morning (5am). So I just left the key and called before my flight. To check to make sure I had been checked out properly. The location was good. Located in the center of everything. Close to pretty much anything you want to do or explore.
My room had a huge stain on the floor, there were cigarettes burn makes on the window seal, and the sink took forever to drain. If you're paying $300 a night for a room. Things like that should be addressed and taken care of before a guest arrives. At least that's how I feel.

Verified reviewGreat location. Comfy rooms! The milk and cookies coupon for the kids was a very cute touch!
Breakfast itself and service at breakfast was pretty poor! The restaurant is a concession so make sure you get your coupon if your breakfast is included in your room rate! Parking is also really expensive!

Verified reviewThe bed was comfortable
Customer service lacked on every aspect. From waiting outside for 20 minutes to get vallet help was disappointing especially when we arrived around 9:00pm. We were given miss information about where to get food and the people working there acted like we were annoying them by asking questions.

Verified reviewBeautiful building and modern fresh decor throughout. Great room service. Amazing staff and all requests and questions dealt with right away and to complete satisfaction. Location is fantastic with so many shops and food and drink options on the doorstep. Short taxi drive to train stations.
Only thing I can mention is air con in reception and lobby lounge doesn’t seem very powerful. But this is minor, it’s literally the only thing I can think to write as a slight negative.

Verified reviewSquare 1682 was great. Tonya was the best. She in fact gave us better information as to what to do and where to go than the front desk. She was more attentive to what we were looking for. I own a hotel and if she lived within driving distance, I would have gave her a job. Very professional and VERY knowledgeable.
The front desk did not know the venue we were planning to attend. Plus, they did not know any place to eat other then the restaurant in the hotel. I have always trained my staff to know your surroundings and they did not. They printed up directions that would have taken double the time. But the hostess in the restaurant was able to give us better and fast directions. The TV did not work properly and the bathroom door would not slide shut. The lobby was so dark and the lights from the floor were blinding. My wife tripped over some luggage. there was a rolled up piece of paper in the hall when we arrived. It was still there 2 days later. Akira kept in touch with me via text and that was nice. Plus she went out of her way to give me wife a nice anniversary stay. The bell and valet staff always hanging and only a couple seem to work.

Needs more phone charging outlets. Rooms are a little small. AC is loud. Had to turn it off to sleep. Door to room fridge was broken. The bathroom could also use more hooks to hang toiletries.
