Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWhile it was great to have underground parking, the spaces are a little narrow for our SUV but we managed just fine with a little extra attention and care.
The location was perfect - walking access to the town square and also easy access to highways to explore other places. Our room and the bed were very comfortable, loved the quaint understated decor and the fireplace, and the balcony with seating for morning coffee!

United States of AmericaLayout of our room was odd (218). A/C was not great. Took long for temp to adjust (learning curve?) so first night was at first too cold and then too warm.
Location, comfortable bed, parking availability. Also liked in room coffeemaker. Didn’t use the fireplace but that would have been great if needed.

Professional staff, location, and the accommodations. I needed a fridge to store my breastmilk and the staff was very responsive and made sure I had a fridge. I truly appreciated that! I would definitely stay again!

United States of AmericaSince I was charged for parking I would have appreciated it if the hotel staff made information perfectly clear regarding where to park when the garage is full. The garage is a small one that requires backing out of when one discovers that there are no spots left. This can be problematic, especially after dark, because there is no signage easily seen to direct one elsewhere. Also, when other vehicles have double parked near the exit of the garage it is near impossible to back out. All they really need is a green light/red light at the entrance that indicates whether there are any available spots left at that time. Then if they would add a reflective sign indicating where to pull in for their overflow vehicles.
I very much appreciated the close proximity to the Plaza area, Canyon Road, and the old Santa Fe section as we walked almost everywhere that was on our list to visit.

LOVED our stay! The room was very large and comfortable. The wood burning fireplace was a fantastic addition. Getting to the room was a little difficult with our luggage as there were stairs but otherwise it was a perfect stay!

Location is super convenient being right at the center of Santa Fe. Rooms are around a long courtyard. Rooms are beautiful. Fireplace in room adds greatly to the ambiance. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. More comfortable than most hotels I've stayed at. Coffee always available. Parking is below the hotel and convenient in a city with minimal parking options. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Never felt like I was bothering them. Carlos came and made fires whenever we asked. We are repeat customers. What was not to like?

United States of AmericaI wish there was stevia in the sugar selection in the rooms. And I do like it when hotels have a breakfast. It is always a nice perk.
The location couldn't be beat. I loved being so close to the plaza, the History museum, the library, the Shed, and a coffee shop. The beds were super comfy. It was great to have parking on site. I would stay here again.

United States of AmericaClosest breakfast place undergoing renovation when we were there but found "The Plaza" on the square which had fantastic food and service.
Super location, staff was very helpful, beds and pillows very comfortable and quiet, fireplaces a bonus. Some rooms require walking up a couple of flights of stairs so be aware when checking in. Underground parking can fill up but they offer parking close by if that's the case. Close to the square and easy to walk to most everything.

It felt fitting for downtown Santa Fe with the décor and furnishings. It was close to the Market area. Loved how you could call up the front desk and have a fire built in your fireplace within 5 minutes. We had a great meal in the hotel restaurant.

This was our first time visiting Santa Fe, NM and the best decision was to stay in Hotel Chimayó. The costumer service was out of this world and Emilio made sure we were well taken care of the entire time! If I could give Emilio a 100 stars rating I honestly would. The hotel room is amazing and brought you back to old times. Hotel Chimayó is beautifully located and walking distance to everything. They are extremely pet friendly! Can’t wait to go back in May and book our stay there.
