The booking didn't state the kitchen was separate from the actual rooms. The bathroom could be accessed from the hallway that other guests use and didn't have a good lock on it.

I have hard time thinking of anything we didn’t like about this stay. If pressed, I’d say the main lights were bright white LED which isn’t my favorite, but both the bathroom and the bedroom had other lamps with warmer light as an option. Literally everything was thought of and taken care of. Loved it.

Our host was extremely accessible, friendly and responsive. We didn’t need more than the access codes to get in, but Laura was there when we arrived to make sure our codes worked and that we had everything we needed. A little note to wish us a great first day in Helena was a nice surprise, the secret sink by the coffee maker, the Roku tv option - all the little things were thought of and greatly appreciated. The house is beautiful and well maintained, the light in the morning is gorgeous. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and just a few blocks from downtown so we could easily meet friends without having to stay in a bland and expensive hotel room. Awesome find!! We will definitely return.

It was a beautiful stately mansion. Room was very clean and quite comfortable and spacious. It was exactly as described and the pictures were accurate. Laura was super friendly and helpful.

Everything except the door lock situation was absolutely fabulous!!

After 4 phone calls and 2 messages I finally got through to the hostess and she explained that they'd changed the door lock code recently and she forgot to let me know. Luckily still daylight and not too cold outside. I was able to get in once I'd found a pen to write down a phone number on a verbal message from the company uncharge of letting the property.

The pillows were hard. The shower ran out of hot water.

The Gold Rush room was large and the bathroom was huge. All areas were well appointed and kept the historic aesthetic. I highly recommend staying here.

Helena is a fun town to walk in the historic neighborhoods. Pope House is within 10 minutes’ walking distance from the center of town with a pedestrian mall and lots of cafes and restaurants. The host was super flexible with us and our travel needs. And, after her busy day teaching, the host took time for a sincere conversation with us. Pope House is a beautiful, historic building. The bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious, and the whole building is super-clean. It was also nice to have a communal kitchen where we could eat our take-out food and put our travel food in the fridge.

I loved the bathtub, but wished a little table or something was nearer it to put shampoo, etc or a place to set a drink on to fully enjoy the experience.

There really isn't anything we didn't like about the Pope House or its location. A most pleasant experience.

The location was terrific. A beautiful neighborhood to walk in and a comfortable walk to the most interesting part of Helena, Last Chance Gulch, which was the original site of Helena and today is a wonderful area of shops, restaurants, historic architecture—a delightful place where we spent several hours wandering.

EVERYTHING! I wish every place I stayed I had an experience like this. I’ve been road tripping solo through Canada and wanted to make a trip into North America to visit Yellowstone National Park. I had an absolute nightmare with the border entry and contacted the host to explain I would potentially need to cancel. I received an extremely prompt response and was met with genuine kindness; Laura did not hesitate to offer assistance with rearranging/port Erika refunding. Thankfully I was able to resolve my travel document issue and was granted entry. When I arrived I was able to access the property with the details provided the day before. I also met Laura whilst unloading my suitcase; She has been so kind, caring and friendly. I would have loved to stay longer purely because of the hospitality. The facilities were also amazing, the room was clean and had exceptional character to match the property which I thought was incredible. I took lots of pictures to post on my social media! I could honestly talk about this place and the beautiful hosts forever. Do not hesitate to book, best stay so far! Thank you both!

Great historic neighborhood between the capitol and Last Chance Gulch. No questions posed to the owners because their communications were complete and timely.Marvelous bakery 2 blocks away. Very quiet and private. Large ceiling fan plus AC if needed.
