Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

During our last night, the room next to ours ran their a/c unit all night. Didn’t make sense as it wasn’t hot. The unit was very noisy. Up until that night this was the quietest hotel we had stayed in

There was a musky/mouldy smell that was very strong when you opened the door of the room. Older style accomodation. Bathroom small and exhaust fan very loud and didn’t do anything.
The room was very large, the bed very comfortable and a limited but good breakfast available.

The structure itself was in poor condition. Old, poor quality windows had corroded metal frame and torn screen. Elevator wasn't operating and rain dripped onto only staircase making it and tile hallway soaking wet. Breakfast was unimpressive.
The room was large, clean, nicely furnished and quiet.

$5.00 for bottled water that was in the room. The breakfast was only continental and not much to choose from.

The breakfast was very simple. Mostly cold foods - except for toast and make your own waffles.
Room was clean, staff was accommodating when a request was made. The location was great, and very close to Hermosa beach pier. Our room had a little balcony where we could see the ocean from - that was an added bonus. The breakfast attendant was great and made sure things were always cleaned up and ready for the next guest.

The shower wasn’t comfortable and the toilet had a weird sound when you flush it also was too close to the bed i don’t think its worth paying money like that except occasionally
The views on the high level floors is nice and the balcony. Its also easier to park close to the lobby and a short walking distance the bed is very comfortable

I cannot quite get used to the breakfasts in plastic packages, eaten on plastic plates, with plastic cutlery.
Quite close to Pier Avenue and the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite good.

The first room we had - with the jacuzzi tub - had an unpleasant odor We got moved to a different room - to 2 beds because we requested 2 beds for our reservation but had a miscommunication about it We didn’t have breakfast just coffee cause we wanted to dine out next door at the diner
Parking was good - plenty of spaces Location was great - loved that we could walk to nearby stores and eat at Ocean Diner Really close to the venue we were headed to for the weekend Staff was great and friendly

Breakfast was extremely limited (think yogurt). Parking is paid.

The parking area was a little sketchy at night. The coffee was out each morning.

The room had an odor upon walking in. We brought some room scent spray with us just in case and glad we did. Not sure if it was smoke or mold but wasn't pleasant.
Bath tub was nice, room was spacious, bed was large and comfortable.

Jacuzzi should be cleaner..too much sand on the bottom. Looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for awhile.

Front desk was not very informative Rooms outdated very disappointed with everything overall

The breakfast is VERY poor, just a few pastries and coffee, not even a fresh piece of bread.
The location is great, just a few streets from the pier in Hermosa Beach. The room was big and comfortablebto stay in.
