The walls were very thin. Any hotel that doesn’t have a central air system is very outdated and their heat/AC unit was LOUD through out the night. Can’t sleep like that. They use old plants for decorations and there’s a pile of dust that gathers on them which is gross.

I like the design but it smelled, esp the carpets.

The exterior and hallways could use some updates. Lighting in the rooms could be improved. There were people who were actively smoking marijuana in the hotel rooms and you could smell it in the hallways, despite it clearly stating at the front desk that it was a "smoke-free" environment. One of the back exterior doors had the keycard swipe completely ripped off the wall on the outside, and was unlocked at 11:30 pm at night - so anyone could simply walk in the back way, circumventing the front desk, at any time of night. I did not feel safe staying here with children, knowing this.

The breakfast was pretty consistent with our expectations - waffle maker, premade eggs and bacon, muffins, coffee. The rooms were decent and clean inside. Front desk staff were all very friendly. Lots of options in the surrounding area for food.

Not very good housekeeping. Hallway rugs unvacuumed, candy wrappers strewn throughout. Bathroom floors mopped with dirty water leaving dirty streaks. Area rug in room clearly not vacuumed for a long time.

Great location. Size and layout of the room perfectly fine for 1 person. Good mix of functioning machines in workout area. Good water pressure in shower.

Breakfast was typical terrible USA style breakfast of plastic eggs and waffle maker. Also location was about 15 minutes from Atlantic Highlands and we didn't have a car (traveling for film festival), so Uber became quite expensive to keep going in and out

Hotel was pretty good, the room was decent size, it came with a robe (although only one it was the most comfy I've ever had), coffee machine, and bed was comfy. Also lobby had vending machine which was handy, and also better coffee than breakfast, which was complimentary.

The main reason we selected this location was because of the pool. The website stated that the pool was closed in August. Our stay was in September for the holiday weekend, and the pool was not open. This was a big disappointment for the bday boy as well as 6 and 9 year old children. We understand the reason that it was closed, but we do not understand why it was not stated on the website.

The best part of my stay was the great customer service I received. SAM, in particular, was quite pleasant and accommodating.

In 2023 in one of the most rich and developed country all over the world, I would expect less disposable stuff at breakfast (cutlery, dishes and so on), but I am afraid this is a general issue about US and does not specifically concern this hotel.

The room was big, clean and comfortable. We had a very nice staying. The breakfast lady was very kind and helpfull.

Outside doors didn’t lock at night-security risk. Lock on the door to patio was loose, I tightened the screws myself to make it safer. Sliding doors on both patio and bathroom were pinch hazards.
