Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe accommodations and the staff was great. For $30 valet I would’ve expected my car to be parked in a private covered parking lot. Instead it was parked in a public open parking lot and block away. If I knew that I would’ve parked the car myself and saved the $30. Also the choices offered for breakfast were very limited. I ordered an egg sandwich which was very greasy and tasteless. I mean my comments to be constructive criticism. The rest of the service was great and I would definitely stay at the Other than these small inconveniences the stay at the Quirk hotel again in the future!

United States of AmericaOur bed was very squeaky and the walls were very thin, it sounded like our neighbors and the housekeeping staff were inside our room.
Lobby and decor throughout was unique and fun, the staff were very helpful and professional, in particular David our Valet and the front desk associates.

United States of AmericaThe air conditioning was a bit stuffy in the room, and the valet was a bit confusing.
The food at the hotel was good, and the art exhibit was a very fun touch. The theme of the hotel is very instagramable. If this hotel fits your aesthetic, you would love it.

United KingdomValet parking is $30 plus tax per night, plenty of parking lots near by. House keeping is optional, we asked for it but it didn't come.
The decor is quirky as you might expect and it grows on you. Very lively bar area.

AustraliaLoved this hotel and LOVED Richmond. What a cool city. The hotel is near some cool hipster(ish) stores, second hand stores and some good food. Nice walkable area. Nice staff that all seemed happy to be there unlike some chain hotels! Quality, good bedding & nice bathrooms.

United States of AmericaI stayed for the marathon and everything was great until evening when a DJ shook our room with such loud noise until midnight it ruined everything. I told staff when I checked out and they said everyone complained same thing as a wedding band/DJ played sooo loud all night. It was so unfair to guests to have that after 9pm.

United States of AmericaThe coffee bar staff were rude. They did not greet me, had a hostile expression on their faces, and muttered under their breath so that I could barely understand. Essentially, they acted like the were doing me a favor begrudgingly, not doing their job. They did not say thank you and parfait I ordered did not have the right ingredients. I do not think they should be working in with customers.
I liked the bar, room size, cleanliness and the layout of the lobby. The architecture and rooftop are superb! The front desk staff and valet were quite helpful and the bartenders made excellent drinks. The appetizer we ordered was fresh and delicious!

United States of AmericaThe bathroom shower leaks out to the bathroom floor. We asked for maid service but didn’t receive it during our stay. We did request and receive additional towels (thank you); Much needed since we used the original ones provided to clean up the “flood” and block the door jam throughout our stay.
The restaurant and our server, Danny, was amazing!!

United States of AmericaHardwood floors don’t work in a hotel (or any space you have to share with strangers, really). You can hear every little creak, whisper, moan… it was hard to fall asleep even with the provided white noise machine. Some plush wall to wall carpeting would make this a five star property.
Beautiful hotel in a great location, delicious menu and friendly staff.

United States of AmericaWeirdly dirty. I know it's easy to be picky when you have a kid that crawls around on the floor, but there was dust and scraps everywhere, and a thick coating around and under the beds. The bathroom fan didn't work, and neither did the USB wall outlets. Also, there are zero options for parking other than paid valet parking, and that would have been nice to know ahead of time.
Great decor and style. Very unique. Very helpful and friendly staff, and very convenient location. Cool facilities and a lot of options for eating and drinking inside and around the hotel.

United States of AmericaI had a pet - we appreciated that it was pet friendly - but there is absolutely no green space in the vicinity for a dog to go the bathroom - we found Monroe Park about a mile away and walked there - but that was a lot. The room was nice - mostly very clean - there were a few very long curly hairs in the bathroom shower that the cleaner missed. The pillows were way too soft - needed 4 of them to get comfortable.
The hotel was really nice - swanky and modern amidst the old stature of the building - having a pet allowed was why i chose this place - our dog needed to go to the Bush Neuro Vet on upper Broad street so this location was good. The mattress was very comfortable. The small fridge was nice, wifi, and flat screen tv - all very nice. The front desk staff was super friendly and the valet service was prompt.

United States of AmericaNo real restaurant on premises that served breakfast and other food items. The room could have been a lot cleaner. We should’ve have requested to be moved. This is a artsy deco hotel but not as upscale as it’s advertised to be and definitely lacking on cleanliness in guest rooms.. I have pictures of the nasty sheets, we thought were bed bugs or droppings . Only 2 towels in the bathroom which also were dingy.
Nicely decorated lobby area. Our room wasn’t what we expected. Sheets were dirty on one bed, floor was nasty in some areas…. just expected much higher standard of cleanliness for the price. I can say kudos to the valet staff!! They were super friendly and most helpful

United States of AmericaStaff isn’t particularly attentive for what you pay. Parking is Valet only which would be fine if I didn’t get my car back significantly dirtier than when I dropped it off. Hotel doesn’t have any amenities other than the lobby and roof bars the latter of which feels more like a dive bar than one befitting a boutique hotel.
Unique style and spacious accommodations.
