Everything in the room is really outdated and has been used for many years. We thought we were getting 2 queen sized beds but they were for sure small full sized. When you are used to sleeping in a King as a couple it is very uncomfortable. The mattresses could be far bigger for the size of the room and could use a new pad for comfort.

For the money the room was spacious and the bathroom was larger than most. It had a nice retro motel vibe. The parking was right outside the door which is really convenient. There are not many choices in Valentine so it was good for a weekend price..

Nothing really that we didn't like just old.

The facility was built in 1964, had large rooms, don't think they were ever remodeled. For an older motel it was fine about what I expected. There wasn't much going on in town for early October. OK for an overnight stay, hardly anywhere to eat.

Gravel parking lot, cracked concrete parking area. The room they originally gave me had a massive leak at the vanity sink. That is, any water that went into the sink just drained out onto the floor. Poor maintenance. The other thing I didn't like was that it was far from everything. That's not their fault, but it does make it inconvenient when you are hungry and don't feel like driving. It is obvious they had a cafe there at one time that served food as there is a dining room, a bar for seating and all the amenities one would expect for a diner, but it is not in use any longer. The Indian family that owned it likely felt it was too much work to put it to use. One other thing that put me in a mood was that I parked my motorcycle by the original room they gave me and when I was moving my bags over to the new room a few doors away, they asked if they could photo the bike. I said "sure, go ahead". They must have took that as permission to sit on the bike also. When I turned to come back to that the original room, much to my surprise, one of them is sitting on the bike, hands on the bars getting ready to stand it up. I immediately told him, quite loudly, to get off the bike and he should never ever do that again, ever. No respect.

The breakfast was not what you would expect for a hotel breakfast. They only offered two types of cereal, some mini muffins (that were very dry), yogurt, bread, and orange juice.

The owners were very nice. And even though the place is old, it was clean and kept up well. Valentine is a small town, and the hotel is conveniently located.
