To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

BelgiumThe two people beds are very small for two people, they are more suitable for one large adult. Also, I was not able to found an hair dryer in the bathroom.
The free parking is a real plus and the value for the money seems great for the city of Austin. The room was also very clean and the bathroom equipment seemed almost new.

United States of AmericaThere was no luggage rack in the room to place my suitcase. Traveling south on I-35, you have to drive to Stassney Ln. (what seemed like a long way, especially at night) to turn around and go north on the one-way frontage road to reach the hotel. I had to study a map to figure it all out.
The hotel was nicely decorated. The decorator's color scheme and design were replicated throughout the hotel and in the rooms. The bed was super comfortable. Probably the best mattress I've ever experienced in my years of travel. Very clean bathrooms and plenty of towels. Fairly close the the airport. We found a great hole-in-the-wall Mexican food restaurant, 1/2 mile from the hotel, West of I-35 on E Ben White.

United States of AmericaAll staff had straight faces not one smile “Very serious!”. I asked about the refund and lady who helped me said idk when you’ll get it back. I don’t recall her giving me any paper work for my stay or receipt for refund just had me sign. Room had some stains on the wall found hairs in restroom. Before my stay at reservations I asked for a very clean room. With extra towels and at check in we did t have any till Saturday morning on my check out day after I asked house keeper for some. My room didn’t have a DND for the door and I had the house keeper knocking a few times at my door for service when I didn’t need service.
