A wonderful, historic place. Check in was very easy. Although there was no staff on site, great communication and very warm and responsive team. The rooms were beautiful, clean comfortable and decorated with so much thought and attention to detail. The location is right in the middle of everything and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Very safe and welcoming area. If you’re into the paranormal, this place absolutely delivers and my experience was very… memorable. But in a playful way, not at all unwelcoming or scary.

I don’t have anything bad to say about it… The only considerations I would point out are the obvious: the rooms are on the second floor and the stairs are old and a bit steep, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues.

    Property response:

Thank you for such a great review, we appreciate your feedback. Hope to have you back!

The restoration of the property and the feel of the decoration dating the room.

Facility had a very long staircase to the second floor with no elevator. Cooling system remote control was difficult to figure out and took an extremely long time to cool the room.

Historical aspects. VERY CLEAN. No staff on site during the evening so you may get lucky and be the only ones on the property like we did.

    Stairs lol

The Red Garter is a historic building right at the center of Williams. Its a beautifully maintained period building. A very comfortable and quiet stay here in the center of the action. Everything is at the doorstep of the hotel, restaurants, bars and shops. You feel yourself slipping into the past to the wilder days of Williams. while staying here. The ambience is perfect for the history of the building and the town itself. How often do you have the opportunity to stay in what was a Bordello with a ghost. Do yourself a favor next time you plan to stay in Williams stay here you wont be disappointed and maybe you will meet Eve.

Wonderful atmosphere state hotel, great shower, great location

No one to talk with! No issue to enter the room with clear instructions sent ahead by email, yet we wanted to contact the hotel during our stay, and there was no answer over the phone! So if you have an issue you need to get alone… We were in the interior room. It has two skylights windows in its ceiling. We arrived at dark, so couldn’t know if they are close or open. Although using the remote to close them, we woke up from sun light at 5:30 AM because they remain open, can be closed!

Fantastic historical building, really well appointed and located. I had an issue with my card abroad which they were really patient with. Williams is a beautiful City, it has a lot going for it apart from being the gateway to The Grand Canyon. The Red Garter is then superbly situated within Williams.

Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Only that I forgot to buy a souvenir T Shirt which was my intention!

We had the best room with a view, in front. I loved the train sounds in the morning. The room was comfortable with everything you needed. The shower was nice and hot, with plenty if water pressure.

Just a little traffic noise in the evening but it stopped by midnight. One of the pillows was really hard and stiff, but my husband was kind enough to let me have the soft pillow.

This is a historic property with a lot of charm. The entourage of Route 66 is perfectly maintained. A lot of effort is obvious to keep it to the modern standard.

The building suffers from mould smell. Obvious downstairs (and in the caffee in the same building), it is masked with house perfume upstairs. It was been very annoying. There was no check in desk, all communication went through the messaging. Nothing wrong but strange.

My family loved the quirkiness and historic vibe of the Red Garter Inn. It was very nice and comfortable.

We wished we could have stayed longer but had to catch our train in the morning.

Williams is a perfect place to go to Grand Canyon. We liked the old-fashioned interior and the pictures. And we slept well, the beds were super ,only that there was a kind of generator outside the window that was a bit noisy half of the night. That we had a kitchen was really great and we appreciated that a lot!! Also that it was provided with a real good coffee.

Overall our stay at the Red Garter Inn was great. The location is fantastic and we really liked the decor and restoration done on the place. It was clean and friendly. Checking in and getting to our room was easy. We really want to remind people that this is a turn of the Century building that has been lovingly restored and is fabulously decorated. But it is on the second floor and the tall steep stairs are no joke. Although there is no way for the property to have done anything about it we just want people to realize. Overall it was a very peaceful and enjoyable stay we will stay here again if we are in the area.

Comfort of a bed is subject to the personal preference of the guest. We love a soft to semi soft bed and the bed in our room (the Madams room) was super hard.

Wonderful restoration. The decor and furnishings were perfect. I loved the way you built on the history of the building. We stayed in Big Bertha's room and I could picture her in my mind's eye. Breakfast wasn't provided but the common kitchen was a good idea. I highly recommend the Red Garter if you want a different experience and a wonderful walkback in history .

    Nothing.
