The barn is absolutely lovely inside and out! It was incredibly comfortable, and I felt right at home. The host was wonderful, check-in was a breeze, and the space was both very tidy and very delightful to be in! Having my coffee with the neighbors was an absolute treat as well, lol! The Renovated Barn is a magical place with the most warm, comfy, relaxing energy. This is the perfect place to unplug and recharge while still having the most fun, and it was exactly what I needed during my roadtrip to Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, Seneca Rocks, and Spruce Knob. Also, the location is perfect - a quick and easy drive to the Seneca Rocks trailhead, and less than an hour away from several other landmarks like the ones previously mentioned. 11 out of 10, truly!!

The quiet, rural location; the cosy cabin (barn), and the animals. Facilities were basic but good. Very convenient for hiking the Seneca Rocks.

Magical location and surroundings, the animals being right there, it's very quiet, all you can hear are the birds. The barn itself is beautiful, very cozy inside, perfect for a getaway.

Beautiful property! We loved seeing the animals and the surroundings are great. We had to cut our trip short, but that was not the host's fault in any way.

Just be aware that it is about 45 minutes to Canaan Valley, and Elkins is also far, but there is so much to do locally, and it is at a central cross-roads, so it is worth it for such a perfect little place.

It is very cozy. The place has everything you need and the heating system is superior. There are plenty of blankets and towels and the bed was the best bed-away-from-home we have slept in over many trips. The setting is beautiful and the hostess very thoughtful. The interior was exceptionally efficient in design. The two large corner stores have everything you need, from beverages to hot meals and canned and boxed food, so you don't need to pack any food.

2 beds would have been nice. 1 double bed was not ideal for us.

Bathroom quite cold even though I left the door open. The heater in the front corner was adjustable, but balancing the temperature to a good level was difficult. Somewhat expensive overall.

Rustic cabin in a rural location. Host kept me informed of when the unit would be available, the location of the key and the fact that poor cell coverage in the area would limit access to online directions. Rooster in the yard for a wake-up call a real plus!
