Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The bed was squeaky and not very comfortable and the AC was loud.
The motel was quiet and quaint. It's a good location, not far from the beach.

When I checked in I had to pay a $100 deposit on my card and the lady informed me I would have it back within a few hours after checkout. I checked in around 10-11 at night and left at 11am and never received my deposit back onto my card!!!!! Cash from now on, beware people!!!!

There was no hairdryer in the unit. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. Also. They requested a CASH deposit before we could check in. Again, would have need nice to know ahead of time
There was no breakfast and no coffee pot either.

Their attitude and check in procedures
All the sites said they were pet friendly, but upon arriving and after they charged my credit card, I was informed pets were $150 per night. I explained that he was a service dog. There are laws to protect ESA's, they didn't care. It appeared the motel had monthly occupants. It was also not the best part of town.

The fact that I never checked in and they won't give my money back I hate thieves and people who take from other people
I booked a room and never checked in and was charged 157.90 for not staying there they are ripping people off it was a drug motel drug addicts walking around

We were greeted by 2 roaches crawling on the bathroom door. At 1:00 in the morning I had no choice but to stay here. I booked everything online prior because I knew after the road trip I would be ready to crash. I understand it was a holiday but $333.00 for a room with 1 full size bed was ridiculous. I will not be returning.

Everything about this place is bad. Not enough parking, staff not helpful, cheap Everything, nowhere to hang clothes. Just awful !

False advertisement when booking the rooms looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The bed was way too small for two people. Couldn't even get the wheelchair in the room after asking for a wheelchair accessible room.

Broom was left in the room along with food from the last guest in the fridge and several cockroaches dead and alive. A horrible disgrace for a motel room
This place was filthy with cockroaches alive and dead No deadbolt on the door and the neighborhood was very scary Very very poor quality room and service. I would like my money refunded

the property is very run down. the shower had been calked and it was a mess. No dead bolt on door. The bed squeaked loudly whenever we moved. There are what appear to be full time residents hanging around the doors to the rooms. We noticed drug deals going on in the parking lot, but we were not bothered during our stay. This place was not even 1 star, and not worth the high price we paid. I wish we have paid more and gone to a better hotel.
Staff was friendly, good location, they checked the room before we went in. The refrigerator freezer was nice to have and worked well.

We booked our room on booking. It said two queen beds. When we arrived it was only one full sized bed. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. It looked like a closet turned into a bathroom. We went to the office to let them know what we had booked but they couldn't help us.

Air conditioner blew directly on bed. Air conditioner high on the wall, had to climb on sink to adjust controls. No breakfast.
