It was hard-pressed to find something we didn’t like about this place. The only negative relates to the volume level coming from some of the guests as they walked by our window, since our room was on the ground level.

We enjoyed having access to the Clark Fork River. Not only were we able to walk up to it and touch the water but we could view the beautiful scenery on the slopes as well. When we first arrived, we were awestruck by the beautifully landscaped ranch property with plant species of various colors and textures and cows in the pastures. The scheduled breakfast was made to order and served promptly. For breakfast we were served yoghurt with fresh fruit, juice, delicious coffee, huckleberry jam, and an entrée that consisted of bacon, scrambled eggs, potato patty and toast. Everything was delicious. We also appreciated the owners sharing their local knowledge to places we would not have ventured to explore otherwise. These memorable areas are Thompson Falls Pass, Kootenai Falls and Ross Creek Cedars.

The grounds were beautiful. The bed room was very nice and comfortable. The bathroom with the jacuzzi was a bonus. Breakfast was extra good. My wife really enjoyed the fishing in the river next to the ranch.

Beautiful inside and out. Lots of room to sit outside or take a walk along the beautiful river. There are also pickleball courts in Thompson Falls and they were great!

The food was good, but I would have liked a bit more variety. Maybe an omelet or quiche.

The location is breathtaking, located near the river, surrounded by mountains. Beautiful grounds with flowers, green space and a water fountain. The house has many antiques and each room is decorated in different themes. The living room is lodge-like and very welcoming. Very accommodating hosts.

This was such a great find. It was quiet and just what we were looking for to reset. Able to launch our boat right from the property. The grounds are amazing and beautiful. The house is full of so many wonderful things to see and learn about. Thank you very much for sharing your piece of heaven here on earth.

If you are an experienced traveler and know what that region of Montana is like, you will have no problems. If you aren't well it's 70mph 2-lane roads and no advanced signage for any street. Newbies and first timers should make every effort to get there during daylight hours for their first approach.

The booking.com listing does not do this property justice. The place's own website fails to do it justice. The Rocky Point Ranch is a true gem of a BNB. Part of it is the spacious, well-appointed ranch house right on the river but mostly it is the atmosphere provided by the proprietors, who are the most genuine and hospitable people I have ever rented accommodations from.

We had such a wonderful time staying at the ranch. The setting is breathtaking and we didn’t have enough time to take it all in. The ranch is very close to great hiking and the beautiful town of Thompson Falls. The breakfast was always delicious and the host were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you so much for the hospitality. I hope we can visit again in the future.
