Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe mattresses and pillows were a little hard. Wish they were a better quality.
We love this motel. It has everything we needed for our stay. The grab and go breakfast had some excellent choices.

United States of AmericaWe rented two rooms. One smelled musty, but was still very clean. The mattresses were OK, but not great. Breakfast OK, but not great.
Nice new wood floors, we saw a deer just across the road the morning we left, easy walk to the beach.

United States of AmericaWe had an issue with our room door lock. Apprently, it was set for us to leave a day before we were actually leaving, although we paid for all the nights. We returned to our room after a moning walk on the beach, one of us needing access to their inhaler due to seasonal allergies and that inhaler being in the room that we were locked out of. We asked a staff that was cleaning the room next door what might have happened and if they could let us in the room, he asked us if we had our papers my reply was not on my person but that they were in the room. He was being protective of the room and that was understandable but I have never felt the need to carry my room papers with me any where ever. Went to the front desk who checked, noticed an error, typed something into the computer, and said it was a mistake and all taken care of, I could use the same code. Returned to the door, the code still did not work, returned to the front desk where this time we were provided a key to be used. The whole process was relatively quick to be resolved, but not having access to our room when we had medical items in there that were needed, and ultimately not feeling like our room was our sanctuary was unsettling. Wished it could have been avoided because otherwise, everything went smoothly.
The location was excellent you can walk to the beach or town, ride bikes all over or head out to further adventures in your car. The Inn at the Sea is off the main strip by a block and there is currently a wooded lot on the west side of the property making the space right in town but not surrounded by business. We appreciated the grab and go breakfast items having choice of what and when to eat.The bed was comfy, the room was well appointed with a great organization of shelves and a spacious floor plan. It was nice that there was a fan provided in the room. Sounds very basic, but when you need a fan and it is not provided, it can be terrible, and it is a pain to have to pack one. The staff were friendly and down to earth. Over all a good value and a great space for some time at the beach.

United States of AmericaThe cleaning service came by after our first night, and I had bagged up garbage because 2/3 of our cans were full, and sent by the door. And they didn’t take it or give us more bags for the cans. We ended up going to the front desk and getting them. They only made 1/3 beds, put some small towels that look like they belonged in the bathroom on the sink, and gave us 2 new shower sized towels even though there were 5 of us staying. The windows probably need to be fixed/replaced as every morning we woke up and they were full of condensation. Staying here in the summer with no A/C in the rooms seems like it would end up hot, humid and miserable. Especially with kids.
The breakfast was great especially considering how small the office is. I like having the Kuerig in the room too for coffee before the office opens. Having the small kitchen set up was also very nice! We drove in with a cooler of food and only ate out once, so it was nice to be able to still have meals from “home”. The older gentleman at the front office was so kind and funny. There was a guest that was being so loud and brought a dog he didn’t pay for. And the employee was on it and did what he could to get the disruptive guest settled.

It is a comfortable hotel just a block off the main road. The biggest draw for myself is they provide a room with three sinks for cleaning your catch of razor clams.

United States of AmericaSomeone was slamming their body into our door about midnight. After the door did not open, we looked out and saw a ice cream cup tossed on the sidewalk. The next day, a long haired teenager slowly walked by while looking at our door. When he saw me looking at him, he quickly walked away. I believe he was staying there. He was with mom & dad figures which were pushing a stroller with two (twins?) small children. Upstairs was a lot of thumping around up to this (evening) point of the door slamming. We are 62/71/77. This really scared my wife and her aunt.
Comfortable.

United States of AmericaNot much sound barrier between rooms. Walls seem thin. Our whole family was woken by people in room next to ours really early in the morning because they were allowing their kids to run back and forth in the room nonstop and jump off furniture which they continued to do for almost 2 hours. One of the beds in the room was very uncomfortable and very noisy. Other two beds were fine.
Property was in a great location for easy access to everything Long Beach has to offer downtown. Friendly staff.

United States of AmericaThe toilet wouldn't stop running, the sink was clogged and the heater made poppong noises and huge flashes a couple of times. We reported the sink right away but nothing was done to fix it. We reported the other issues when we checked out.
