There were only four outlets in the room (plus two in the bathroom) and three of the outlets were being used by the TV, frig and microwave. There was only an overhead light (a table lamp would have been better on my eyes). There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and I could not get the window open.

I stayed here for one night in July 2025 while passing through. The man behind the counter was very pleasant when checking me in. The room was small, but clean, comfortable and quiet. It had a double bed, tub with shower with plenty of hot water, frig, microwave, flatscreen TV, free Wi-fi, coffeemaker, and shampoo/conditioner.

No place to hang clothes, although there was plenty of drawer space in the bureau. The painters had done a sloppy job in the bathroom with paint on the newly laid floor. The room was musty from the previous guests and the only way to air the bathroom was an old casement window that opened onto the street and neighboring property - but which would be a security risk at night. No coffee in the morning - a simple touch that would increase the value.

The property was newly renovated with laminate floors and quality bathroom fittings. Fresh paint in both the bedroom and bathroom, and an excellent bed headboard. The AC unit worked fine and the hot water was adequate. Free wifi.

It wasn't very clean and lacked things like nice towels, a large enough trash can and attention to detail like wiping the walls ect.

WiFi doesn't work properly. Towels could be cleaner, maybe more hot water in washing machine could solve this problem.

Easy to find the motel. Easy and fast check-in. Room is smaller than usual but still enough space for all. Bigger refrigerator than usual and microwave. Both in the room.

No trash can in the bathroom and tiny trash can in the room. They weren’t emptied on a daily basis and overflowed very quickly.

The room was very simple, but clean, with fridge and microwave. Bathroom was basic but also clean and functional. There was no trash can in the bathroom though. The ratio of price to room quality was adequate.

Photos in booking.com are better than I saw it in real life. Bath needs replacement , it looks so scary and old.

Base of bed metal gaurd keep kicking accidentally, really annoying and in the way. No washcloths first night. Only one little trashcan in bathroom. Shower/bathtub faucets need upgraded or replaced

What did I not like? I didn't like the flooring; the floor is uneven with some spots feeling like it is going to cave in... And the bathroom needed just a touch more care and attention to the bathtub. Yet overall, I enjoyed my stay.

What did I like? The staff here is very friendly. I love the location and I appreciate parking right in front of the room.

I was able to walk directly to the concert venue at Hayden Homes Amphitheatre. I got to park my car in front of my room. The motel clerk gave me easy directions for the walk, probably a mile.

Rooms are a bit old.

Staff is excellent. They are making sure that oyu feel welcomed and also make sure that no one smokes in the room or have pets (it is a no pet motel).

The place is an older standard roadside motel probably built mid century 1900’s. It could use a little facelift, but it was fine for our short stay.

We just needed an overnight stay that was close to a local venue. The Royal Gateway was a good inexpensive place for our needs. I got a good night’s sleep in a clean bed and had some pleasant conversations with the woman running the motel.

Renovations were not well done. No screens on front windows. Other windows appeared to be painted shut in bathroom. Dripping shower faucet. Poor quality work in the bathroom.

The person at the desk took a while to open the door and when they arrived they acted all grumpy and tired.

Tub/shower faucet dripped continuously. Wi-fi didn't work in the room, went out near the office and it worked but signal in room was too weak for iPhone & iPad. Screw heads in metal strip between rug and linoleum stuck up some and were sharp.

Convenient, easy access, reasonable price. Seemed the unit was being updated/refurbished. Refrigerator, microwave and tv all worked as expected.
