The double beds are very small. As a family of 3 it was a tight fit. The pillows were also very very lumpy.

We loved the location, how cute the hotel was and the shuttle made it feel like a real vacation as we didn’t have to worry about driving anywhere. We loved there were a few good places to walk to as well. We loved coming back each day to our room freshened up as well!

Guests next door very noisy. Pillows very thin and uncomfortable. Remote control for TV was bizarre. Pushed volume control, it switched channels. Pushed again, channel changed. Same experience with channel button.

Inn was nice and very clean. Loved retro feel, like stepping back in time.

The location was further from the airport than I expected. That was my only disappointment but worth it for the nice pool facilities and that great neon sign.

This is an above-average motor hotel with an exceptional neon sign that's been maintained. Their care with this sign is a measure of the hotel's attention to quality. I would recommend it to others definitely. There are many good food choices within walking distance, even a liquor store.

I booked this purely on the nostalgia of it being a prominent filming location for True Romance, so on that basis what it had to offer as a place to stay was priceless. It is old and pretty dated but that is the appeal of this place.

It was a bit of a drive to some of the areas we wanted to visit… Venice Beach for example.

be sure to schedule your airport shuttle a few days ahead, we were frustrated that they were booked up. Same goes for if you are planning to use their shuttle to Universal, you will likely end up using an uber instead. Coke machine was broken. Would have been helpful to know ahead of time that the shuttle requires advance reservations.

Cool history, and the room had fun period touches. Nice wall showing all the films its been in.

Staff great got there early and room was ready and was allowed to get in 4 hours early, clean tidy and comfortable. Used bar of hotel next door highly recommend it there Dennis will make you welcome and keep you laughing. Walking distance to warner bros studios 1.4m

Nice location , had a lovely top hang out bar to sit in , watching traffic go by and wait for the amazing Sign to light up x a lovely sized room . Loved it

The bathrooms were outdated, and the air-conditioning was loud.

The staff were amazing! Everyone of them! The place was spotless. Although the bathrooms are sadly outdated, the cleaning staff did an admirable job, making them as.comfortable as possible. The absolute best was the shuttle service, to and from the airport, and Universal Studios!

The location was really good, it was close to places to eat and you could easily get to the Hollywood stars walk of fame! The shuttle bus to universal studios was brilliant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was perfect as it was very hot!

Not actually “pet friendly”. 99% of people staying here are probably going to Universal - it’s promoted all over their lobby. People traveling with pets may see they allow pets and book here. They will be sad to learn upon check-in that you are forced to sign an addendum saying you will not leave your pet unattended in the room ever. If this rule is broken you pay a $300 fee. This is a way to get an additional $300 out of people under duress. If you have a room near a laundry or maintenance room you will hear the door slamming even during the night. Also, the mattresses are awful - so cheap and hard.
