Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWindows throughout the property could use washing but everything else sparkled. The business center could most definitely use a new printer.
The hotel and room were wonderful. Staff went out of their way to help with anything we asked about. The room was huge (king bed, desk, arm chair and bench with room ro still do floor exercises. ) bathroom was the size of a small bedroom. Quiet. And never heard anything outside the room. AND there was a record player and a few records!

United States of AmericaHave stayed at many hotels in the downtown area and the Hotel St. Louis by far exceeded my expectations. From parking, check in and the excellent amenities were above my expectations. The rooftop pool and vintage vinyl record player in the room was a bonus too. Our corner king suite was simply a pleasure to stay in. Huge room, the hallway and large bath was almost over the top. Will be the only place we stay in the future downtown.

United States of AmericaOnly 1 minor issue which was quickly resolved. I'd booked for 4 people but the sofa bed had not been made up and only 2 towels had been provided. When I ask for the sofa bed to be made up I was provided with sheets and blankets but had to make up the bed myself. I had to ask a second time to get additional towels.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were very spacious. Bathroom was excellent. The food at the hotel restaurant was a highlight and we received great service from the bar staff. Internet was fast and reliable. Valet staff were helpful and quick to retrieve our car when needed.

United States of AmericaOnly parking is across the street in a parking garage so you almost have to use valet. Breakfast was not included. Short staffed but I think that’s a problem everywhere.
Very attractive boutique hotel in middle of downtown. My regular room was a two-room suite with large rooms. TV in mirror in bath. Beautifully decorated. Nice bar and restaurant in lobby

United States of AmericaThat our King rooms did not have the sofa bed, the pool was cold and dirty, no iron in room - you have to request those. The bar on rooftop closed.
Location was great! Breakfast was alright , my French toast were soggy and not cooked all the way. I liked the shower bathtub combo, rooms were spacious!

United States of AmericaWe were charged at the spa for boys haircuts nearly twice the quoted price when I booked. I booked hotel room via Southwest and it indicated we would have a balcony and VIP access. We had neither. No half and half in rooms for the coffee. Reserved for 4 people but room only had 3 towel sets and no pullout couch bedding. Had to request it. Lobby was frequently out of coffee/half and half/water. Asked for bottle of water when water was gone and wasn’t able to get one. Server in the Union 30 restaurant smelled like pot the whole time we dined on 4/9/22.

United States of AmericaThe lighting was a little dim in the room and bathrooms, which was made it hard to get ready for our event. A few of the features in the room weren’t working (ring light mirror, mini fridge)

United States of AmericaThe listing says there are two Tesla chargers, there is only one. You have to park in their lot behind the hotel, with no security, to access it. Someone left a piece of chewed gum on my car, since it was so easily accessible. Little bit of a creepy feeling there.
The hotel is lovely, the staff are great. Room was amazing.

United States of AmericaContrary to the to what the receptionist told us, the rooftop bar was closed. We were really looking forward to it because of her report.
It was conveniently located close to downtown. Dinner was great and the server was engaging, intelligent, and had a great sense of humor. The room was sizeable and comfy with plenty USB charging ports.

United States of AmericaPool was disappointing. No facilities near the pool, which was very inconvenient. We requested and had approved and early check in time. That was not something the front desk was aware of. The suite we booked for four adults came with zero bedding for the pullout sofa. It took two calls to receive bedding and the first set of sheets were soaking wet. The second set was fine. The pull out couch wasn’t long enough for an adult. Our feet hung off the end.

United States of AmericaThe only things I can complain about is the rooftop bar is not open every night and parking is a block away. Not a big deal, but can be a pain if you're in a rush.
Such a beautiful hotel with great touches such as the record player! The rooms are huge and are perfectly decorated. The rooftop pool is gorgeous and is better than the pictures show. The rooftop bar is gorgeous with an awesome view. I will definitely be back!
