Great cozy place to stay at the coast with our pup.

Always love staying at the Salt with our pup! Really enjoy the contact free check in / out while assistance is just a text away. The rooms are cozy with a tv, small microwave, and fridge. The shower is a bit small but the water pressure is outstanding. The new private sauna (available by reservation) is a nice touch. There is also a supply room that has amenities, ice, and board games to borrow. It’s beautiful walking around the harbor or there are lots of other places to explore just a short drive away. There are not a lot of eateries in walking distance but they more than make up for it with the onsite restaurant. We’ve enjoyed many good meals there.

Nothing! It would be nice to have a functioning bakery in operation again or a place to have some breakfast foods right next to hotel though

Comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay, well designed units, backs onto marina. Restaurant on premises, and another down street. Easy parking, free, across street. 15 minutes to outstanding state park. Ilwaco has interesting book store, yarn store, vibrant Sat. Mkt , huge antique store, galleries, and very interesting history museum. Small place but fun! 1/2 hr to Astoria with vibrant Sun. Mkt and plenty of places to see and eat. Trip up the Long Beach Peninsula makes for a great mini-vacation. Local bus avail in front of hotel!

We are anted pub to be open later for drinks and earlier for breakfast.

Restaurant on site, sauna for free!, dog friendly, on boardwalk, walk to cider company, clean room, comfy enough bed, good communication via text with staff, charming! We loved it.

I don't know if this is Salt Hotel's policy, or an omission by the room preparer, but there was no shampoo in the bathroom. As there was no staff on site that while I was there, I bought some shampoo at the Ilwaco Pharmacy.

This was accommodation that had all the essentials. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and kettle. It was a very stormy night while I was there, and all of these items were useful. The winds were very strong, and the door rattled, but I stayed warm and dry inside. This is not luxury accommodation, but it was very comfortable.

The location was not very scenic - opposite a large parking lot. The building was showing it's age.

The room was well thought out. The built in furniture was a little industrial looking, but was well placed and efficiently designed. There was no actual closet, but the area for clothes was very spacious. I liked having 2 luggage racks and lots and lots of hooks! It was like a walk in closet. On site restaurant quite good. Bed was comfortable.

    Nothing

Breakfast not included. The food at the Salt pub is good. Salt is located on the wharf waterfront. Nice views, shops, walking. The rooms are small but contain everything you need with nice decor and efficient use of space. The building is u shaped surrounding a nice courtyard with fountain and quiet landscaping. The parking is across the street, very quiet location. Excellent location for a short stay in Ilwaco.

Some of the cleanliness could have been improved. The floors were sandy when we got there and did not get swept. Housekeeping only brought more soap by (they also offered to bring towels). They didn't make the bed and even though we asked, the floors didn't get swept.

Really cute motel-style lodging with a nice bar/restaurant attached. Located right on the marina, and very close to Cape Disappointment SP, also very close to the downtown area of Ilwaco. Seamless check-in process. The hotel was very updated and we loved that they were dog friendly. Parking was seamless. The strip of businesses next to the hotel was awesome. A great bookstore and a few galleries you can walk to along the marina.

Someone staying close by was very loud in the late hours....stomping around and car alarms in the parking lot were going off super late. So kinda noisy.

The location is great and very peaceful. I also love the salt pub for yummy food, which is so close and convenient.

Overhead lighting could use a change up- kind of jarring. Some nice lamps in the room would be nice. Bigger coffee-maker! For anyone who seriously drinks coffee in the a.m., that little guy was way too little. Everything else was great.

Thought the person-less, texted check-in was a little weird at first, but it actually worked really, really well. Checked in with me on text to ask if I needed anything, and answered any questions I had, like "Where is the...?" pretty quickly. Sauna! Hidden behind a secret door. Awesome surprise. Beautiful, huge cedar sauna that opened into attached private bathroom. Happened to be a gray day and I had it all to myself. That was a wonderful bonus. Room was quite small, but really cozy and pleasant style, felt more like an airbnb room than a motel. Beautiful wood work in the room, and locally made soaps and coffee instead of hotel chain usuals. Pretty lovely.

There was an issue of an upstairs room allocated after requesting and communicating that I couldn't climb stairs. Thankfully it was resolved quickly as the Pub was still open at 8:20 pm. We said we would arrive at 8:30, Thankfully we were early as the pub was closing and no staff wod have been at the hotel.

The hotel and our room were Quiet, comfortable and relaxing

The only thing that would make this little hotel better is a bigger shower and better lighting in the bathroom. We still love it tho!

The location by the harbour. We were able to access the headland walk for Cape Disappointment and Discovery Trail directly from the hotel. Plenty of parking opposite and interesting to see a working port with boat repair facilities. The only downside was the fact that due to staff shortages the pub for dining options is closed two nights a week. However, there are several other restaurants near Long Beach.
