The metal bedframes. Smart choice for design and hygiene, but I kept accidentally kicking it which made a loud echoing noise. On the plus side, this isn't somewhere that you have to worry about bedbugs. I'm sure it's much easier to keep these bedframes clean.

We were grateful to find somewhere clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced during peak holiday travel season. Location was ideal for the Sarasota airport and car rentals. Our room was very clean and modern. We were impressed by the recent renovations. They were still doing some construction work, but they gave us a room that was far away. We were not disturbed by it. We had the impression that the friendly staff genuinely cared about the property and guest experience. They were happy to do that little something extra. If we stayed longer, we would have made use of the pool and tiki bar. Conveniently, it is on a main road, but there is some noise from the cars of course. With the fan on, we were not disturbed. I always bring earplugs when I travel, but I didn't need them.

The only issue was that the filter on the rooms dehumidifier needed change on arrival, however this was not something brought to the staffs attention so I'm not docking them for not correcting it. All things considered a slightly musty smell wasn't near enough to ruin our stay!

The location was loud. The place didn't feel safe. There were random people walking all over the place. The walkways chipped. The stairway was cautioned taped off. So the only way to get upstairs was the elevator...which seemed unsafe unkept also. When we got up to the next floor the windows were broken and covered with plastic. The bare minimum furniture looked like it was from a thrift store or taken from off the side of the road. Definitely not worth the cost. I will never stay there again.

The bathroom smelled of urine and moldy water. The only window was next to the bed facing the public walkway outside the door. I could not open the curtains for natural light because people walking by could look in my room.

Front desk clerk was super nice. He alerted us that our second nights rate was going up and that we should check a second party (booking.com) to see if we could find a lower price, which we did. The rooms are big, and very clean. The only downside is the noise from street and planes. The hotel is right next to the airport, you can see planes take off and land right over us, kinda cool.

I did get to spend time with my daughter.

I live in a sober living community and am unable to have my daughter there for over nights. Had a 150.00 dollar deposit. Well I take a weekly urine test for 16 types of drugs. They told me I smoked Marijuana in the room and kept my deposit and banned me from the property. When I go for an over night I have to test within 30 mins of being on property and passed my test as I have for almost 3 yrs. Took proof to them and they were just ugly about it. Never received my deposit. So be careful if you stay there it's drug infested and shady staff.
