This is an older motel, and the building and grounds could use some updating, but we knew this going in and that goes with the good value. The room has been updated and was clean but there weren't enough electrical outlets, and the light switches were awkward.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for exploring Munising. The room was clean and comfortable. Backing the car right up to our door, along with the nice overhang, worked great for loading up in the rain.

It's very old and while priced competitively, it was a lot.

The retro style was clean. The staff was fantastic. There's a sauna and bikes for use.You can walk the whole town. The housekeeper was fantastic. They even let us borrow their toaster. Beds were comfy. A real fridge and freezer and microwave came in handy! But most important they allow dogs without restrictions.

We were pleasantly surprised by Scotty’s Motel — it’s absolutely charming and felt like something straight out of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel! Our suite was perfect for our stay: clean, comfortable, and full of vintage charm. The location is great too — within walking distance to shops and the boat launch. Kids approved too.We’re already planning to come back next summer.

The room is bigger than most standard hotel rooms. The bathroom had a large walk in shower that I prefer over a tub. The tv was huge. Had a very quiet night and relaxing evening.

Not certain. The external appearance is not very inviting but the rooms are wonderful! This motel is funky and fun.

It is easy to access Scotty's Motel. We stayed in what is basically a long term stay apartment so it was spacious and comfortable and well equipped. When you see the outside of the motel you can be a little uncertain about what to expect - it is old and looks a bit rundown. But wow - it has been well cared for and well remodeled in the rooms. The beds were great and the bathroom very nice as well. We really loved staying there.

The hot water pot for the coffee didn't work.

Everything was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The sauna was amazing! We loved the cherry trees.

The mattress had depressions in it that made it less comfortable than I hoped for. There was no soap in the bathroom.

The location was good as it allowed me to walk around town easily. It was quiet. The room was well kept. This is an older motel, so the decor reflects that.

I picked up the bath towel and it was stained bad, it should have been tossed. I went to take it up to the office but it wasn't open and we had to leave.

that there was no staff on site from 7 pm to 9 am for any issues that may have occurred over night this is the first place that we ever stay at a place with no over night staff

We used Munising for our base for touristing around the area. Scotty's was a perfect base. It was clean, and spacious. We would stay there again.

The rooms are louder than larger, big chain hotels. But not overly loud.

The location and staff make this hotel great. Small, right in the middle of the town. Walking distance to anything needed. My family of four loved it. It is not perfect, and but the best price for the area. Still a bit more expensive then it would in a different location. I would stay here again.

Way over priced for how old and out of date it was. Old beds and decor. Window air conditioning.

I thought the room would be a little better put together. Love the furnishings, but weirdly arranged so it looked like no one thought about it.

A few more hooks in the small bathroom would have been helpful as would a suitcase stand.

Though Scotty’s is an old motel the room was very clean with excellent mattresses. Staff was so friendly with a delightfully positive attitude.

Nothing, would have been nice to have breakfast but we knew it was not available at this location.

Nice quiet location. Room was a decent size. Bathroom was updated with a nice large shower. The lady who checked us in was friendly and efficient.
