Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLimited kitchen facilities e.g. no tea towel and no sharp knife. A comfortable lounge chair would be a good addition.
The location was excellent, close to beach transport and bars and eateries . Air conditioning and ceiling fans were a very welcome inclusion and lift to access 3rd floor was helpful for us.

United StatesThe room could get a little bit warm during the day, but it's Miami after all :)
We liked that the hotel 5min walking to the beach and very close to convenience shops, and excellent bakery and restaurants. We worked from our suite during 3 days and the wifi always worked perfectly. The suite was very spacious with plenty of room to store our luggage and clothes. Trash was taken out daily and towels replenished. There were also 2 beach chairs and umbrella available at the suite. Although there is no staffed reception at the hotel, the host Alejandro was super attentive and very responsive on Whatsapp. We had an unexpected issue during our trip and he was very understanding and went above and beyond to help us.

SwitzerlandThe entrance/lobby of the building is a bit surprising at first. It feels more like entering an apartment building than a hotel. So if you're the type of travelers who like to be warmly greeted on arrival, then you may miss that aspect but otherwise it's perfectly fine, the check-in runs smoothly, you get all the information you need upfront and front desk staff answer all the questions at distance promptly and efficiently.
The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The location is great, a few steps away from the beach yet quieter than Ocean Drive. Staff very efficient and nice. Just perfect!

United KingdomIts a basic hotel standard so don't expect posh and you won't be disappointed, but it takes care of all ones needs, unless you're looking for luxury.
We stayed for 2 weeks at the Sherbrooke and we would stay again. The room was large, it had a good kitchen with a full fridge and cooker and everything needed. I even asked for an oven dish and kettle and they got me one. It is 2 minutes walk to the beach, so amazing location. Its a hotel/apartment so you have cooking facilities but also room service/fresh towels. It was super helpful to be able to cook breakfast and some meals instead of having to buy out all the time. The supermarket Publix was about 15 minutes only walk away which has everything but the Sherbrooke is also surrounded by restaurants, cafes, pizza places and shops. I was kindly given a late check out free of charge as I noticed some hotels in the resort charge for that. There are also no resort fees or hidden costs which some hotels also charge in Miami. There were free beach chairs and umbrella.

PolandStayed at Sherbrooke twice in November for 10 days, and it was a good choice. The location is unbeatable—just one block from Ocean Drive and the beach, right in the heart of all the action. With plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, it’s the perfect spot to experience everything South Beach has to offer. The hotel isn’t brand new, but it has everything you need at a good price. I specifically wanted a place with a kitchen annex, and Sherbrooke delivered. Having the kitchenette to prepare meals made my stay so much more convenient. The air conditioning was efficient, which was a relief in the Miami heat, and despite being so close to everything, the room was surprisingly quiet. I felt right at home here. With shops, nightlife, and restaurants all within walking distance, plus a decent bed to come back to.

PanamaI recently stayed at this hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The **location is perfect, offering easy access to the beach and various local attractions. I loved the self-check-in feature, which made the process of checking in and out very convenient and efficient. The hotel provides beach chairs and umbrellas, which was a fantastic addition and greatly enhanced our beach experience. Additionally, the ability to prepare some meals in the room was convenient. there are some areas for improvement regarding cleanliness.

PortugalWell it is not that I did not like it because I was expecting it. There is no reception service, you pick the keys in the room itself when you arrive. No staff there to receive you. Once you're expecting it, should not be a problem, only did not risk leaving valuable stuff on the room.
Spectacular location, very close to the beach and all you need, 5 minutes to bus to Miami center. The room was big and cofortable. clean, had a kitchenette, wich we used to prepare breakfast but had the required accessories to prepare meals. Nice tv and wifi. towels were changed daily I think. So all good, and a nice building too although old, but clean!. Good value for money as it is economic for Miami Beach, but had all we needed to enjoiy our stay as we did not go to stay in the location.
