Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The floors in the main hallways could have been a little bit more cleaned.
Loved the view from the 3rd floor. I could see lake erie!

There was nothing at the hotel that i didnt like. The location, while convenient to highways and main roads, was quite noisy because you could hear all the traffic. My room towards the road so not sure if the rooms on the opposite side of the hall would have the same issue. Other than that the accommodations were as expected and a good value.
Overall my stay was wonderful. The hotel employees I interacted with were all very pleasant. While only just a little snack, the welcome goodie bag at checkin was a very thoughtful bonus that I've never received staying anywhere else! The room, while small was comfortable and clean!

You can hear everything going on. The one bed in our room had a frame that the mattress didn't fit on and my 3 year old hurt himself twice by accidentally falling in-between the frame bars.
Breakfast was wonderful! Even though they had their hours listed at 630am they had most of the breakfast out by 6.

The place could be cleaner, water pressure was low, only vending machine was for pop, the room was too warm even with the air conditioner turned all the way down.

We were originally given a room that was already occupied! lLuckily no one was in the room at the time. Took a while to figure-out the error and give us another room. Had trouble with the wi-fi on the first night, but was able to fix after an hour or so. Roomwas small and cramped, could not get past an occupied desk chair and bed.
Liked having both a refrigerator & a microwave. Bed was comefortable and the HVAC system was relatively quiet and efficient. Breakfast was standard fare for this class of hotel and all but the eggs, sausage and waffels were available all day. Also had free cookies every day.

This is an old building recently renewed. The room is a bit small.
The staff make sure you feel welcome. Breakfast has good options. Coffee is great. Room is comfy although small.

fan and heater unit needs to be cleaned and fixed, or replaced, broken plastic fins in both rooms; makes noises; in my son's room, the refrige unit, was making a lot of noises, tried to move it to balance it, but did not help; so kept him awake. TV was somewhat difficult to understand how to watch local stations , but then we got it.
Rooms were together as requested, clean, had nice supplies, refrigerator in my room was good. The breakfast was great and the ice machine was also great. Enjoyed the coffee and tea supplies etc. in room and all the fresh brewed coffee in the lobby, and additional items were much appreciated ! Staff was welcoming and friendly , which is always a good sign and needed for travelers in a new place/city .

Not much just in the bathroom on the side of the vanity there was some splatter marks maybe from the toilet maybe from the sink I don’t know other than that that was the only issue we noticed
We enjoyed the breakfast and thought it was fantastic. The room was nice a little small, but very nice. There was a few little parts in the bathroom that were missed in cleaning, but not really a big deal.

I was surprised that there was an extra charge for our pet even though when I booked the reservation and specified I would be traveling with a pet there was no mention of an additional fee.
The location was convenient to everywhere we planned to go.

Getting regular TV channels was very frustrating. Obviously, you only cater to guests with a streaming service.

No complaints only a suggestion to have bedside lamps
The staff was so personable and friendly and we were greeted with a little welcome bag which was a really nice touch. My room was clean and comfortable and I really liked that it had a little nook bench on the window sill and that the room curtains were room darkening so I could sleep in. It was a really nice stay and we will definitely stay again.

Room was a bit small, beds were tight up against the wall. Overall, didn’t seem as clean as the other hotels but had much better pricing. It wasn’t well marked, we did need to check the address on the building to confirm we found the right hotel.
Price is great, place to sleep was all we needed. Staff was extremely nice. Plus, they take dogs if you have one. It is right across the street from splash lagoon!
