The air conditioning in my room was extremely noisy, like an airplane turbine. The breakfast was of poor quality and variety.

People upstairs from us were stomping around until 2:30 in the morning. Really a design flaw; more insulation between floors would have helped. If you like quiet, ask for top floor. Would be nice to have USB charging. It was only on the TV and only worked while on, timing off every 15 minutes. We'll remember to bring wall adapter.

Amazing staff. Observed going above board to help people. Exceptionally clean. Nicely set up room with "kitchenette." Breakfast had sausage, egg, waffles, variety of cold foods.

The room was dusty and it took too long for the hot water to warm up.I had to run the water for 20 minutes before it got warm.

There were two things that were not great so brought this rating down a little...1) when I checked into (room 106) the front desk Manager gave me a channel list for the TV but did not give me a remote control so I could actually use the list. There was no remote in the room. When I got back late to the room (after having dinner and playing bingo) I had to track down the front desk person to get a remote. Secondly, there was only one light over the sink and the light burned out forcing me to brush my teeth and do my hair in the dark. The light from the bathroom does not illuminate the sink area very well. :(

The continental breakfast was good with a decent selection of items and all of the staff was friendly. As I am a shopper I was impressed with all of the stores nearby. The availability of restaurants within walking distance was good as well. This is important when there is no on site restaurant.

Room seemed old, especially the bathroom area. Shower was old & paint chipped around room.

Bed was comfy & always appreciate a property that accepts dogs. Fridge already included in the room is also a plus. Location was great as we were traveling into Charlotte & needed something easy & close to DT. Matthews DT area is super cute & only about 10 minutes drive.

The digital television only had a few channels working with no interruption. When I called the front desk the first day, they said it was a cable TV issue when they obviously use digital television. I knew I wouldn't be able to get any kind of a partial refund and I didn't want to change rooms so I dealt with it.

The beds are comfortable and it was clean. I could have stayed at another, way nicer, hotel with a much lower rate but I liked this location. When I asked the attendant if he would match that lower rate, he refused, stating that there was a baseball game or something and that was just bull.

The pool that was advertised was closed. The pool had been a large reason for booking this hotel, and we had already paid through Booking for the room when we got there and found out the pool was closed. The kids had their bathing suits and pool toys and were incredibly disappointed. The staff were not very friendly either, but not mean.

The room was clean and breakfast was okay. They were able to give us our request for joined rooms.

The toilet leaked every time it was flushed and the hot water didn't last a long time when a shower was taken.

The staff was courteous and helpful with the reservation. The bed was comfortable. The shower had great water pressure.

Musty smell from the old carpet I suspect, but not terrible. No face towels in the room, not an issue for me but for my wife it was.

Facilities are not new or up to date, however they are suitable. Location is good for my needs.
