Absolutely nothing. Worst hotel experience of my life

The staff are soooo rude and unhelpful particularly a young dark head man called John behind the front desk and a porter called Tony. Two of the rudest people I’ve ever met. The rooms are DIRTY and nothing works properly. It’s a proper dump.

The front desk staff was wonderful, especially Alicia (I believe that was her name) who checked us in on Saturday, August 16th. She was super knowledgeable and welcoming, and gave us great tips right away. I loved that bottled water was always available, along with 24/7 coffee and tea. The main floor kitchen/lounge with a TV was a really nice spot to relax, and given the location, it was a fantastic value. The area felt safe, it was in a great neighborhood, and everything was within good walking distance.

The outdoor terrace could have been a little larger, but it was still great to have that space to enjoy.

    Location

The room is very is very dark, the walls are peeling ,the floor carpet smells awful and is broken , the sink faucet was punctured causing water leaking . The matters bed is very soft and sagging. Impossible to rest well. The elevator is very low and the doors kept getting stuck.

I liked the view from the room an that it had a balcony but I wished that the balcony was more nice and cosy, it was very raw. The staff was very nice and friendly and it was nice to get free water. Also the staff gave us a discount because the wifi wasn't working so we were pleased with that. The bed linen and towels were changed every day,

The curtains were hanging off the rail, one light was missing in the mirror, the mirror was broken, there were hairs in several places in the room so it was clearly not cleaned well enough. The sofa was not clean enough and the Wi-Fi didn’t work on our floor.

Convenience to subway, easy to get everywhere. Rooms were good size and clean. Provided water every morning when we left the hotel.

Full size beds...but in manhattan that's what you get if you need two beds. Honestly...there was nothing we didn't like. The hotel was wonderful.

Very good location. Canal and spring street subway stations are 2min walking distance away. Staff was nice and helpful and there was free water bottles in a reception which was nice gesture. Traditional american hotelroom ,great bed and great air conditioning.

For some reason hotel WiFi does not work very well. Could be my phones fault also but there was problem to find ip-address and keeping it connected.

Location was amazing, reception was helpful and always asked if we needed more water, etc

Rooms very outdated and falling apart. A lot of the wallpaper had come off around edges and carpet was well for wear. The booking app was a lot higher priced than booking with hotel. Needs to update photos.

The location is perfect in the southern part of Manhattan. This was the main reason as I was on a business trip. The price was reasonable, even more so for NYC standards. Airco was functioning well which was a must during the massively hot month of July. If you are a cigar smoker there is a cigar lounge walking distance from the hotel so perfect to wind down after a hectic day in New York.

Hotel is very basic, bar was closed and there were no plans to open it in the near future.

    It has a great staff

Hotel is out dated. Horrible shower. Can see mildew and wouldn’t drain well and shower head wasn’t working properly. Walls papers were ripped. Aircondition noise didn’t let us sleep.

Very convenient location, close to subway, coffee shops, shopping and restaurants.

We lived in a room near end of the hallway (the corner), so literally no wifi connection at all. Even tho we connected near the door side, we lost the signals in the room.

Room smelled bad. It smelled like the carpets desperately needed to be steam cleaned!

The staff were amazing during our stay. I had a problem with my reservation, and they were very helpful and kind, assisting me right away. We arrived early, and they stored our luggage for us. It's also possible to store your luggage after check-out.

Small but sufficient room. Convenient location for our needs.

Bathroom was groddy, maybe moldy. Cheap fabrication.

room view was nice, location is alright. stuff is friendly and trying to assist with everything

    1. quite outdated furniture and common zones. 2. mice in the coffee area…at some point homeless person came in asking for money within this common area, which also raises questions of security unfortunately. 3. no proper ‘hotel’ like blankets, only like a plush cover by request.

    Location was good

We booked this room for 2 people, me and my boyfriend. I got there before him, the room was paid for and I had made sure that the booking was in my name since I would arrive first to check-in. However we paid from my boyfriend’s credit card, as a result they did not allow me to check-in because I didn’t have the card. I really wanted to check-in and shower after a long travel so I went to get the card and came back, that’s when they said that you don’t just need the card, you also need the card owner to be present with his ID. Why that wasn’t communicated to me, I don’t understand. The reservation was in my name. I was there with my ID and the room was paid for and yet, I couldn’t go in. I also lost time getting the card for no reason. Overall, I understand that different hotels have different regulations (this has never been a problem at another hotel before) and it would have gone better if the person working there was more helpful or nicer. But he wasn’t. After my boyfriend finally arrived the guy didn’t even give us any info about our check-in, just gave us the key card. No info about WiFi, breakfast, checkout or anything. After asking another person the next day for more info I learned that they do give free water for guests, but in mini plastic bottles. They do not provide water fountains to refill them. So you just have to keep issuing mini plastic bottles and waste plastic.
