Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomFire alarm system sounded every morning waking guests up at 5AM and was reported daily yet was not fixed and the 24 hour silencer kept timing out releasing a new set of alarms. Spare disposable cutlery and crockery were not left in public access so sometimes ran out and were therefore unavailable until staff arrived the next morning (0830). This could be a good addition to the ‘essentials’ locker.
Great location within walking distance of the city centre and to two main metro stations. Comfortable bed and clean ablutions. Useful ironing facilities in room which was good! Fantastic clean communal space in the lobby including fridges to store food, water fountains, coffee machines etc to start your day!

United KingdomThe room was slightly on the small side & the air conditioning was very loud & couldn’t seem to make cooler. The tv remote seemed to be broken & would only turn the tv on or off & couldn’t change channels - wasn’t a major problem as we only used it a short time in the evening.
Brilliant location which was a reasonable walk to The White House. Looked very pretty from the outside & had plenty of good eating places nearby. Also excellent value for money & wouldn’t hesitate coming back again. Excellent shower as well.

New ZealandThe air conditioning unit was very very loud, hence the ear plugs. It made it difficult to sleep. There was tea and coffee which was good, it would be great if they were replenished along with the cleans as we stayed a few nights, as well as the cups.

I had one situation where my phone almost went dead and I had to write down the door codes on a piece of paper because I was afraid if I got back to the hotel after my phone went dead I wouldn't be able to get in and I wouldn't be able to text anybody to get the code.

United StatesYou need to be flexible about your expectations. The rooms are small, and amenities are not top tier, but they do the job for a short term stay.
First off, the staff members are super helpful - shout out to my friend Essam! In terms of the experience, it feels like having a private room in a glam hostel where you get a clean space to sleep, shower and meet other travelers in the common area. The location is superb. I've stayed here multiple times, and it has always offered the best value.

United StatesThe room is small and not much room for suitcases and sitting. They should have two suitcase stands in the room, instead of one. Parking in DC is a pain, and Embassy Inn does not offer parking, but most hotels don't offer parking.
The staff were EXCEPTIONAL, especially Essam, who went out of his way to help us in any way that he could. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and clean and with easy access to public transportation. The room was clean and had a good bed, pillows and big screen TV, but we only slept in the room and spent the rest of our time sight-seeing. The room had a Keurig style coffee pot, which was nice for making coffee.

The place is ok, Great Location. Communication was an issue. Just think of someone new to the property and you have got no attendant to ask anything. Asking to guests was a challenge because some people were very rude (guest). Otherwise the place was comfortable and easy to walk around especially if you have assignment in city center DC.

United StatesClose to fire station. Ear plugs on the side table was our first clue. No ice or vending machines. No onsite staff. No nearby restaurants. Stairs to front door so we dragged suitcases up them. No microwave or refrigerator in room. No drawers. Room was warm and stuffy on hot day. The floor of the shower was extremely slippery. It is a safety issue. No shampoo in the shower, there were two body washes.I received our welcome email on the day we checked out. It was sent at the exact time as our folio. The welcome text went to blocked texts so we didn't know the codes. If the welcome email had arrived on time, I would have known to search for it.
We interacted with cleaning staff and they were friendly.
