Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Nice location at Capital hill. Clean and good size studio with everything you need for a short to medium length stay. Communal laundry facility was very helpful as we have been travelling for a long period so very badly needed the laundry . Flawless contactless check-in and checkout process

United StatesI can't answer questions on these surveys about dining facilities, staff, and other amenities because this is an apartment with a floor or two devoted to out-of-towners, There is nothing for travelers but a room. That worked for me, but it won't work for everyone.
The location was the best part: in a quiet neighborhood with interesting restaurants, pubs, and people, but right across the freeway from downtown and the convention center.

MaltaThe only problem we encountered was that we could not connect to the wifi before getting in the room and we needed wifi to access codes to enter building.
We had everything we needed in the little apartment we had, there were also laundry facilities in the building which we could use easily without paying anything.

United StatesThe contactless aspect—no humans— is a little weird. The building is somewhat oddly shaped with long corridors around corners. Near a fire station so can be a little noisy.
This is a completely contactless experience. No staff. The electronic entry worked well and the facilities were clean and well located.

AustraliaIt needs a small table and a couple of chairs. What is the use of having a fully equipped kitchen and no where to sit and have meals! The hot water to the shower and basin takes over 6 minutes to get warm. I notified Sonder by message because they never answer the phone. Provided lip service after I contacted them again. Sonder were a nightmare to deal with. Especially when they programmed the wrong code to get into the room. It was just pure luck that someone from Sonder was walking around on our floor who manually reprogrammed it. Otherwise we would still be standing outside the room because they never answer the phone!. I won’t be booking through sonder again.
Nice new apartment with a well equipped kitchen with modern appliances.

AustraliaOur King Room was a studio style apartment with limited kitchen facilities and bathroom with shower over bath. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment was located on the 3rd floor and overlooked the freeway below, but the noise did not appear to be too much of a problem. The city and Capitol Hill establishments are walkable, which makes the apartment a great base location.

United StatesThere was an unhoused man living just outside our windows on city property. The area was full of trash and clothes and when he was there I felt exposed and kept the blinds closed. We also had an issue with the elevators not taking our entry code. (Locked message- call for assistance). We tried calling Sonder, the elevator help button, the phone outside the elevators, website etc. and couldn't reach anyone. Luckily a Sonder housekeeper happened to be arriving and got us to our floor.
The location was great. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.

AustraliaInformation regarding checking in and there being no manager on site to assist.
Everything was great. We just had difficulty getting access as we didn’t realise the building was not managed by a physical person. If you need any assistance you need to call a number, this was difficult for us to as we had just arrived. Had not yet got our phone up and running for the states. We couldn’t access the codes for entry and without them you can’t even enter the building. Once that was sorted we were fine. We were able to leave our luggage in the lockers until the room was available. The only other issue that wasn’t evident when booking, was that we were located on a hill, so walking was a bit more challenging and it was some distance to public transport. The accomodation itself was great however. The king bed was awesome, there was a fridge, and a microwave which was absolutely handy.

United KingdomI did not mind this as I am not fussed about noise but the rooms are facing a very busy interstate (3 lanes each side etc A LOT of traffic) which is noticeable. I sleep with white noise on so I did not even notice but if someone is a light sleeper or needs it quiet you may want to think of choosing a different place.
Perfect location and comfortable check in via an app and code for front door and room door. The room was very clean and modern and very well equiped. I had one issue with my door code not working but was able to sort it out via the apps customer support to get back into the room.

United StatesI wish it had stools that were at the height of the bar. The ones in the room were too short for the bar.
I loved the location and the laundry room. Live traveling back home with clean clothes. I also liked the security measure taken at the door.

United StatesWish the blinds would have a sheer option that allowed sunlight with a little privacy or mirror lined outside so light could come through without sacrificing privacy, instead of blocking sunlight or "fishbowl" feeling of having blinds open. The lighting in the living room could have been better or positioned differently. Also, would have been nice to have a designated smoking space outside.
Location was great! A brief walk to the market and a short stroll to the convention center. Building felt safe and not having to keep up with a key card was wonderful! Appreciated the self serve amenities restock station. Bath tub was great! Plenty of hot water! Kitchette was stocked well enough to be helpful during my stay.

CanadaThe down side is that the traffic nearby is always busy and noisy even during the night. The hotel did offer us the ear plug though. Cannot complain! However, we noticed that the 1) the toaster even it is clean outside, there were some crumbles inside from earlier stay, 2) the pan provided is with clear scratches which we would not dare to use, 3) one of the shower/shampoo dispensers may not be installed correctly (the right most one is higher than the other two), making the use of it difficult. In addition, the quality of the shampoo/shower gel may not in good quality - not an expert on this but it doesn’t feel nice to us.
Overall very good. Line 1 light rail station is nearby within walking distance. Bus stops 10/12 are also within walking distance. Generally feel safe in this area. The room is super clean and the support from online staff was also good. There were plenty of supplies in case we run out of them. The location is also pretty good. We used the wrong panel to enter the pin from the beginning. We tried several time and cannot get in. But maybe it was only us.

United StatesI stayed for two nights on the 3rd floor, and while the location was close to downtown, there was quite a bit of car noise. The room's layout was such that I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The bedroom had two side lamps, but they weren't bright enough to fully light up the room. The A/C was in the living room, so I had to leave the door open to balance the temperature between the bedroom and the living area.
We chose a Sonder for our stay, and it turned out to be a great decision. It's only a 2-minute walk to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, and a quick 10-minute Uber ride to Pike Place Market. Plus, the Westlake Link subway station is just a 6-minute walk away, making it easy to get to the University of Washington or the airport.

United KingdomAt the Pivot there was no sign of any of the Pivot team - not a problem on this occasion but so reassuring when there is at least a human on site to see in case of any unforeseen problems that cannot be quickly handled through the app and at the cost there really should be...
Third or fourth time we have stayed at a Sonder and absolutely love them so far, great quality and great service via the app provided you have access to the internet and the access codes have arrived before you set off travelling.

CanadaIt didn’t have a private parking and the nearby public parkings were not overnight. We had to wait until 10pm to be able to find a spot in street parking so we could park the car overnight. Although it was free, it was a bit stressful for us to park our car on the street.
It was so clean and it’s kitchen was equipped very well.
